ESPN said that the redsox have been trying to trade Manny back to the indians. But they say that they don't want him, I think that it is more of a money issue. I am so sick and tired of our owner being a cheap bastard! Go and sign someone who is a big name guy or just sell the team to someone else.

Frankley whether its manny, carlos lee, i want them to actually start trying to get someone who is a star and not hold back because of his price!

Send'em Cliff Lee, Franklin Guiterrez and a prospect, whatever it takes to bring him back to Cleveland.. Having the bat that he has and putting his arm in RF would be great to have.

They asked for Trevor Crowe and Adam Miller....thats a high price to pay for someone who is still Manny being Manny and, who according to a Boston Globe writer, quit on his team last year....

Manny would have stayed in LF had he come back to the Indians anyhow.

I would do that in a heart beat. with manny on are team, we have the best offence in baseball.

i went to win NOW!!! i don't went to wait for the propects to develop and all that crap. cleveland needs a championship.

Adam Miller had arm surgery, his 100MPH fastball is an asset, but him and Crowe for Manny is a great deal with little risk. With his bat....it's over.

Our lineup could be something like this, please don't bash for particulars.

Barfield, Grady, Manny, Hafner, Victor. WOW.

I'm a guy who regards prospects very high, but if Boston really offered us that, it's a shame we didn't accept. It must have been money, because straight up that offer benefits us. Carmona and Sowers are both promising SP with Miller just behind them. Crowe is a fantastic player, but we have so much depth right now, especially at OF with Franklin, Cooper and Snyder, Crowe is great trade bait.

The fact that we didn't do this deal still leaves us in fantastic position.

The problem with Manny is that if the Tribe makes that deal the payroll skyrockets. Then when it comes time to re-sign Hafner they let him walk because payroll is already too high. Personally I'd much rather keep the payroll low and be able to re-sign Hafner. Their numbers are comparable but Hafner is younger and a good clubhouse guy, not a total distraction like Manny.

As fans i wouldn't expect most of you to feel anything but that would be a good deal for the Indians.

But its not, and its not because Miller is the best pitching prospect the Indians have and Crowe should be up and playing in Cleveland by the middle of the year.

Besides i read an article that said Ramirez quit on the Sox last year - not so sure i want him anywhere near the Indians.

Hell no.. He left us right before he hit his prime, and now would come back as a 33 or 34 year old ?

Forget that...

I wouldn't be surprised if Manny isn't dealt at all.

He's always mentioned in trade rumors and hasn't gone anywhere yet :chuckles:

I've been thinking about it all day Shapiro made the right move I was wrong.

Miller IS a great pitching prospect with a lethal arm if it heals from surgery.

Were you guys not alive when the Indains were dominate???

We never won because we didnt have the pitching, well mesa sucked a big one, but we allways had the lineup. What happen last year??? We had the 2nd best offensive team in the AL, and we were way out of it.

We need pitching badly. Besides Manny would take up a fat chunk of the payroll, and he sucks in the field and at baserunning. Something Wedge is against.

manny would give us .300-35-120 easy. i would do it, no question.

With Manny, that makes us the best O line-up in a long time. Barfield Grady Manny Hafner Victor, we don't need pitching.

But we don't have him.

So we need Relief pitching NOW. I'm not happy with Byrd or Carmona, leaving one SP job open. We need a dominant closer as well.
