Indians vs White Sox

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Usually jokes have better cues to let people know it's a joke, but happy to hear it was one.
Don't be sore about my post, just because you missed out on some posts from the last couple of days. @NorthCoastBias immediately explained it was a joke before I even gave you the funny rating.

Not sore at all, my initial response was based on an annoyance with posters using the "funny" rating instead of engaging in debate on something they disagree on. I can see now that you weren't doing that, so there's really no issue.

Lindor when asked about his struggles with RISP:

“Usually when there’s someone on base,” Lindor said, “they’re not throwing strikes to me and I’ve chased lately a lot. So, I just have to continue to get better and do a better job to help my team win.”

I like you as a poster Steve but let us not act like any of us owe another the so-called debate you speak of.

Silence and a smiley is golden.

It's really just deep cuts aimed at silly takes by people who think they understand the mindset of players and teams.

Obviously, just assuming a team "was on cruise control" or "didn't play hard enough" is just nonsense bred from losing.

Anyone who actually watches the game knows most of these guys are locked in down the stretch, even if that doesn't breed results.

I think people forget that the Indians were leading in the 7th inning of both Games 2 and 3 of the ALDS. That is right when the cruise control set in.

Listen, I'm glad you assholes are amused, but I could have won $3500 if the Tribe wouldn't have hit the cruise control button down the stretch.

Now, lets win the WS.

Agree to disagree on that. I used to do the "Smiley" when I disagreed with someone and then I realized it really contributed nothing. But as pointed out, Derek wasn't doing that so it's all good.

I think the issue was @Steve_424 presumably has @NorthCoastBias, who explained the joke, on mute since they land on opposite spectrums when it comes to their admiration for LeBron James

No comment :chuckle:

See....I do smiley when I think the other person is absolutely hilarious. There needs to be a disagree button, though.

What I think is even MORE hilarious is when people complain that they get an emoji........their dopamine levels are out of F`n wack brother.

Thank you for this! It pairs well with the eye test. Just seems as though he's less selective with runners on this season. Where prior he'd be willing to take the walks.

He actually has a 11.6% walk rate with RISP compared to 7.2% for the year as a whole, and his K rate is basically the same. Biggest difference is a much lower BABIP and HR/FB% despite having a hard hit rate in line with his season average.

I really think it's mostly just a small sample size issue rather than an actual problem with his approach.

It's a little of this, and that, he swings at slop though. He's obviously trying too much, overthinking the approach, folding to the pitcher instead of taking what's given to him. We'd all be over tying too if we was the best player on the team in a big spot. He has an antsy approach this year. Indeed sample size though.
