Issac Okoro: Glue guy !

Still would like to see them work in some pick and roll w/Okoro and the bigs, let the shot fly a bit more now that Garland is out (along with every other G we had on the roster). If Cedi is comfortable going 0-7 from 3, Ice can be comfortable going 1-4.

Okoro is way too afraid to shoot, however...

I don't think you can trade this guy. He's a shutdown a defender, completely took Ball out of the game. He's getting that reputation around the league and I think it's bleeding over to the way he's officiated. Just off eye test, they let him defend aggressively pretty consistently and that's a very valuable thing. He honestly reminds me of Andre Iguodala. Great defender, made even better by refs that give him more leniency than most

After some of the slimy stuff Hayward was doing earlier in the game, Okoro lowkey returned them at important times of the game. When the score was 101-100, 12.5 seconds left, and Rozier clanked that three, Okoro sneakily jerked Hayward back away from the ball so Goodwin could collect the rebound that gave us the final shot. Didn't get called for it and Hayward was crying all the way down the court.

He was really fantastic tonight and has been great the last few games with somehow still limited opportunities. He looks like a different player off the bounce and has great playmaking potential. Need to get him some more chances to create.

Passing has been fantastic lately. His playmaking is good, but his handle is keeping him from using it as much as he could

I’m certainly not ready to throw the baby out with the bathwater

As JB likes to say he makes winning plays. No interest in trading him.

Cavs developing their own little Triple Single in Okoro.

Really he’s just starting to get into a prolonged stretch of playing this season. He’s very good in transition, and he’ll continue to grow confidence in the 3. Defense and basketball knowledge are excellent.
Moving him would be nothing short of a mistake.

That 3 last night in the 4th was huge and he shot it without hesitating the kid is growing

nothing has changed here: Okoro makes winning basketball plays. We are still all waiting for his shot to come, and you'd like him to let it fly more freely. I used to think he was scared to take the shots, and at some point I think that was the case, but now think he's just always looking for the best shot. Still convinced that they need to selectively put him in pick and roll situations.

It will come. You can't teach athletic ability, you can't teach feel for the game and you can't teach a guy to make quick decisions.
