What do we think this guy’s ceiling is?

Really? You're going to ask that?

It's Paul Pierce.
Sarcasm? I’m not seeing that...

Anyway, the reason why I ask is our backcourt is already pretty undersized, so unless we’re purposely playing small ball it limits where we can use him, because Okoro is yet another guy that is undersized for his position.

Okoro’s size was glaring last night. Dwarfed by Harden even. JBB pointed out his positive defensive performance so it must’ve been a non-issue.

if Sexton, Garland, Okoro are all going to play 30+ minutes a game, there will be significant stretches where all three are on the court at the same time. You’re giving up size at 1-2-3 but it seems like the system is capable of mitigating that. Especially with the big mobile guys at four and five.

This is just wait and see mode. The rotations will continue to work themselves out as players get healthy and get hurt. Okoro seems pretty safe though. JBB really likes him even if he provides next to nothing on offense currently

I think he will benefit greatly from Jarrett Allen screens. We haven't seen a glimpse of what he is capable on offense because he is (rightfully) deferring to better offensive players at this point in time.

He definitely has the capability to make simpler drives to the basket and finish or dish.

I think the Cory Maggette comp is a solid middle/high ground. for Okoro.

Okoro is probably the most "raw" , at least offensively, of the three guys we've drafted in the lottery. He's already shown some nice flashes this year. I love how he competes defensively. His size doesn't concern me, once he has some time in an NBA strength/conditioning program his strength will increase.

Cavs seem to be doing a good job, year to year, of picking guys that want to consistently get better and are doing a good job of developing their young guys under this new regime

The encouraging thing is we've seen those flashes and he's still only 19 years old. Okoro still hasn't had a proper NBA offseason. All the rooks were basically thrown into the fire within weeks of getting drafted so I give most of them some leeway as most have already hit the rookie wall at this point. I expect if this kid keeps working (he obviously seems to be a worker) he will be so much improved offensively in 2 years. He's already a stud defensively. I'm really excited for his future.
