Its like you say one bad thing about Sexton and suddenly i am anti Sexton. The kid has ridiculous speed and efficient scoring, but obviously is a ball stop to some degree. He is in his 3rd year, he will get bad.
As for Okoro, he does everything you can that isnt in the box score that leads to winning. Obviously in the modern NBA he has to work on his shot, but the kid is 20 and in his first year, he will get better by allot.
Throw in Garland and all 3 of our last lottery picks can play ball. People act like with a 1st, 2nd and 3rd year pick all playing our frontcourt we are supposed to have it figured out already. But we are on pace to be a "30" win team which is a year after year after year improvement. Rebuilds take time, and your roster isnt supposed to be complete.
Okoro is not a finished product, not even close, but the kid can play some D and has shown some flashed on offense. I like it so far. I would love to get luck and get a top 3 pick in this draft to add to the roster.
It's more of just how people focus so hard on Sexton's limitations compared to everyone else, particularly Garland.
The Sexton thread has like 3 pages of posts just today. And it's with people complaining about his play last night.
Meanwhile, no one has posted a thing in Garland's thread since Sunday.
Now isn't that a tad odd?
