One rumored deal has the Cavaliers sending Welsch to the Suns for backup center Jake Voskuhl.

Dunno about this guy. He lost his starting job this year because a change of plan. Then he lost his backup role to Steven Hunter, someone we cut last season. I'd rather get a 2nd rounder than a big man that didn't quite make it. But I suppose he could be a good backup, but nothing more.

After reading a few scouting reports, he's been compared to Jake Tsakalidis (sp?). You know, that guy we tried to sign last season but got matched by Memphis. But this guy is still relatively young (4th season after 4 yrs in college). No offense whatsoever, but he provides energy off the bench and defensive intensity. I guess it's worth a shot, but still I'd rather get a draft pick and get a backup PG. Or we could go this route and get Antonio Daniels.

Jake would be a decent backup. Id rather try to get a 2nd rounder for jiri and draft a pg, but this would be an ok move.

The original deal had us getting the Suns 22nd pick in this year's draft and Jake for Jiri.

Steven Hunter didn't want to play for us, that is why we let him go after the orlando trade.

I like this deal, I also heard that it includes the #21 pick interestingly enough. I would do it just for vouskal cause we need another big.
