It’s not that simple. Surgery should always be a last resort. Sometimes, it’s the only resort - a torn knee ligament isn’t going to reattach itself. But for this injury, they tried to treat it with rest and rehab. It didn’t work. That doesn’t mean it was a bad strategy.
