Disagree.I think he would have made just as much or more money with the Cavs. Less minutes, but contributing to a playoff run looks a lot better than more minutes and doing nothing spectacular in the playoffs. I won't call him a loser, but I definitely think he made the wrong choice.
He's not making his decision today. He made his decision in February.
I guarantee his agent's phone call to the Cavs went like this: "my client wants to get paid like a starter on his next contract. Can you gaurantee him starters minutes or a place him in your starting 5 rotation?"
When Griffin said no, they went elsewhere. It was the smart decision AT THAT TIME. And, he did contribute to a playoff run. He'll get paid just the same, and now he gets to go on an earlier vacation.
