His offense is about iso guard initiation. It's why he puts Garland in with Niang. It's supposed to be his show and his time......well. If the Cavs replace Garland, it will likely be for another guy who can create/score in a iso situation.

I would just prefer a new system, but Mitchell may demand this scheme which favors him

Not to be a party pooper, but I remember the 92 playoffs against Jordan and the Bulls. We lost by 14 in Game 1 in Chicago, but came back and absolutely destroyed them by 26 in Game 2. Everyone was saying we'd finally figured out the code to beating them, and that we couldn't be stopped.

We lost in 6.

Point is that weird shit happens in basketball. As much as we might like to draw wider conclusions from the results of a single game, just as often it turns out to be an anomaly. It's what makes these series so hard to predict sometimes. We could beat these guys, or we could inexplicably revert to looking massively outclassed and poorly coached.

Won't know until we play the games.

Dean Wade is coming back.

If we had Dean Wade for that Chicago series MJ would have been playing golf in June.

We’ve got Dean back. Celtics don’t have Jordan. I like our chances.

I don't think anyone here considers the Cavs favorites in the series after winning one game, so I don't think we have to be concerned about that.

What I will say to this though is thank god the Celtics don't have Michael Jordan on their team.

That's exactly what Boston just did to Miami last series. Except in 5. All we have to do is look at the last round. We don't wanna be Miami.

Just saying that things like all the talk about how this impacts JBB, etc. is just wildly premature. None of us really know what is going to happen.

But one thing we probably can say is that the crowd on Saturday will be fired up as hell.

You make a valid point, but you're comparing Jordan to a Jayson Tatum led team.

We can absolutely win this series. Tatum is not a true leader.

You dont need to go back to '92, just go back over the last two weeks...

- Miami wins game 2 vs. Celtics, granted not nearly as convincingly as Cavs did, but they did control the game the whole second half. Boston wins series 4-1.

- Cavs get blown out twice in Orlando once in historic fashion.

This forum is as bipolar as the team lol, I guess it makes sense though, guys like EM and DG just give you that glimmer of hope every once in a while of "look what we could be if they could bring this consistently"

Did another injury in Allen essentially force his tactics/adjustment? At this point if we keep JA, it appears JA and Mobley court sharing time should be minimized. Unless Mobley or JA starts taking and hitting 3s at a high clip, they time is limited.

It's hard for me to get up in arms about the JBB discussion at this point since there's no one left to hire I'd be excited about anyway.
