Also, his clock management at the end of the game was fucking comical. Monty Williams straight up showed him how it's done.
Talent level to be top 8. Is that with Sexton and Mobley, or without?People think I'm being negative just cause.
I think this team has enough talent to make the top 8.
I think the coach is gonna prevent that.
There are at least 3 games this year we win with better coaching. This was one. Washington was another.
Everyone is excited because the team is playing competitive, close games but losing.
They should be winning more of these games if put in better position.

And does top 8 mean that you feel like they are underachieving when they can't beat Brooklyn, GS, and PHX without Mobley and Sexton?
Once Mobley is back(and obviously we know Sexton is gone for the year), I do think they have the talent to be top 8. And my expectation level will be that we should be on pace for 39-45 wins, which is an uptick from the 33-49 record I predicted in the Prediction thread. But after seeing the team play so far, once Mobley comes back, if we have relatively good health the rest of the season with our critical guys, than I would be disappointed with a .400 winning percentage.
As far as JBB, I see him as average at best and see the same limitations and downsides everyone else does, but I also don't think you can praise how much the team has competed, even throughout so many injuries, and think that some of that isn't coming from coaching and leadership.
We miss TONS of wide open three pointers. Yes, there are different ways to get the guys 3P looks in different rhythms but I see constant missed open threes. The looks are there and happening. A better coach could run better offense but the players ultimately have to make open shots.Team has been infused with talent.
He can't manage late game situations. He can't figure out how to best use his spot up shooters. And he can't figure out how to expand the rotation to buy some minutes. Every game is the same lately. Early lead, lose it late in the 3rd, offense stalls out, Garland gets tired.
He wanted to start Okoro. He's got him now. He's making him look like a g-leaguer.
Better coach and this team could win 45-50 games.
It's gonna be a lottery team unless he gets the Lloyd pierce treatment.
Mark this post. 200 bucks to RCF if I'm wrong.
The only complaint is that the Cavs offense needs to be more sophisticated. Last year's Cavs with mostly the same crew were getting blown out by some of these teams. And the moves by Koby have saved the Cavs' asses.
Cavs need some serious LUCK to land the wing player that will allow this defensive team to pull a 2014 Spurs on their foes.
