John Gilchrist's full report from the Chicago Pre-Draft Camp

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
For reference...

In that ACC tourament, Gilchrist averaged 24/5.3/6.3 going against Paul and Duhon (amongst others).

That was an impressive performance. If Gilchrist has his head screwed on right he could be a steal. You hate to overhype an undrafted FA but there's no doubt the talent is there. There's usually always an undrafted player that ends up being a good contributer. Gilchrist could be it this year. If he's impressive in Las Vegas than the Cavs need to get him signed immediately. Just because he's on their summer league team doesn't mean he's not free to sign with whatever team he wants to.

And the foul!

Gilchrist was the 2004 acc mvp i believe, and he can bicker and argue with whoever he wants at the chicago pre draft camp but regardless of who we bring in this offseason. He will be the lowest guy on the totem pole, he will be a rookie and not just a rookie an undrafted rookie who should be grateful to make the team. Hell if we can handle Ricky Davis and Darius Miles' Egos being in the starting lineup lil johnny gilchrist will be but a tick on an elephant for the Cavaliers this year. He will have to be on his best behavior his contract is small and he may not get another one if he acts up...I was hoping we could get him though, had he come out a year sooner many projected him a 1st round lock, but maybe he should have done his homework being that he is in the ACC knowing paul felton deron jack and guys like nate robinson salim stoudemire were all coming out. But hey it could pay dividends for us a cheap pg to backup Snow. I like his style his mean streak at the camp could prove to be a killer instinct in the league hopefully he can be like a Undonis Haslem has been for the Heat but at the PG position for us. :)
