So Long Jordan Clarkson ( aka Chucky McJumperson)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I can't see LeBron approving JC to the Lakers. More likely they take on TT if they can come up with an asset that is worth it to the Cavs.

Hes a Klutch Client. LBJ would approve. It really doesn't matter though. Clarkson and TT will either stay here for the year or get flipped at the deadline. Its a weak FA class next year so Rich Paul will try to get them paid.

I don't think Clarkson being a Klutch client automatically means LeBron would approve playing with him. It's not like they played well together on the Cavs. He made zero impact during the playoffs. If Klutch and the Lakers are trying to put together a championship team, Rich Paul would most likely try to get someone who meshes well with LeBron to get traded to the Lakers from his growing list of clients.

I find it just as interesting that Clarkson chose Klutch. By now everyone that wants to play for the Lakers knows that is the best avenue to getting there so maybe that is why Clarkson signed with them.

Not sure why LeBron wants to see Clarkson barely play (15.1 mpg) and sh** the bed in the playoffs again (30 FG% and 23.9 3pt%).

He said he was tired during the palyoffs and his body wasn't right. He never played that many games. He came back significantly better.

Clarkson could do some simple things to improve his game. He just isn't mentally able.

Clarkson at this point is probably our best asset.

Sure he isn't a true pg, but a guy who can score 15+ off the bench is a huge asset for a contender.

13 mill, 17 pts in 27 minutes, 45% overall, all though his 3-point percentage could be a bit better.

I really want to trade him, but we should be able to get a late first for him.

We need his minutes for Porter JR and Windler too. Maybe Zoosman or Sandy Cohen too. He soaked up a lot of minutes last year.

Windler will play mostly SF with some small ball PF. Cavaliers for SL listed Kevin Porter Jr. as a F so hes likely going to play SF and some SG. Clarkson will likely be the backup G behind Sexton and Garland. Not like we need to see anymore of Knight, Delly likely won't play very much. I also read earlier that Nwaba isn't expected to get tendered as a RFA which most likely means he's gone. Also don't think they need to worry about minutes for Zoosman or Cohen if they make the team since they will likely spend a lot of time in the GLeague.

Clarkson is worth retaining as every team needs a professional scorer off the bench even if they don't share or play well with others and that's the apparent reason they are used in that role, when in truth he is doing what few pros can do coming in cold and putting the ball in the hoop.
Most love his value in a trade but hate him as a player. I think his value is only due to his unique ability to be that one man show that can keep you in a game , or take over and win it for you.

I agree that he has value and expect him to be moved closer to the deadline after most of his money is paid and teams figure out who needs some bench scoring for a playoff run.

I don't think Kevin Porter and Clarkson fit well off the bench. If we can get something of value for Clarkson in the offseason I prefer it. Have Delly take KPJ under his wing. He has success with similar players even Clarkson.

If we keep Clarkson until the deadline, that is fine. I just think his minutes could be used more productively.

Clarkson might have value after the first waive of FA but the most likely time to deal him will be at the deadline.

He needs to be traded because he is not part of our future and he wont help teach the young guys, no doubt, but he should bring us a nice asset in return is all I was saying.

He’s a poor man’s Lou Williams off the bench.

I don’t want it around this group of young guards, but a contender will want that bench scoring.

I just really wish we could get a deal done before the season, although it’s unlikely at this current point in time. Teams aren’t usually looking for expirings until later in the year.
