I have a buddy in Detroit, and he has provided me this INFO... According to their radio stations down there in MoTown, this is what is going on..

The Lions have confirmed they offered JP 6 years 27 Million.... Also, they confirmed the Browns have offered JP 6 years for more money than 27 Million... (probably the 30 Million that is being floated around out there, but the amount has not been disclosed..)

According to the sources close to the Lions organization, they have said the Postons are in discussions with both teams right now, and they are waiting to see what the Lions next move is going to be...

Looks like a ton of leveraging going on here.... I don't know about offering him this kinda cash...

Also, I hate it when it's Radio rumors... But as of now, that's all we got...

I sure as hell hope so, this is the type of defensive playmaker we need, I REALLY want Peterson, I beleive the ACL injury is a tough injury but he should be 100% this year. GET EM PHIL!

I believe it was a torn Achilles Tendon, which is way worse than an ACL tear.

They are awaiting conformation still, the guy who reported this is said to have credible sources within the Lions organization. And it would hold some water the rumor anyway as lepip had stated with his detroit friend....CMON PHIL!

none yet, he leaves detroit in a half hour, that would give us some leverage, but i'm hearing phil savage is being very agressive towards matt millens offers and that millen is probably going to bow out soon, he can't compete with Phil Deezy
