For the people that are upset about this move, what would you consider to be a fair punishment for Kareem?
And after serving that punishment, is he allowed to play football again?
Him signing with the Browns doesn't get him out of being punished by the league. The Browns not signing him won't fix whatever issue people have with Kareem playing football again.
The outrage has to be aimed at the league for allowing any team to sign someone who shouldn't be playing(depending on how you view the situation) or not handing down a longer suspension(again depending on perspective). The NFL provides the structure and these teams work within that structure.
Kareem is bad guy and no one has to like the move but the conversation isn't very productive if you leave it at that. If the league needs to do better, then where are the practical solutions because this moral high ground bullshit isn't cutting it.
