The Suns are 14-21. Why would they want a 31-year-old? I'm thinking any team that wants Love is a team that expects to make a run at the Finals this year and next.

Suns are currently only a half game out of the 8th seed. I could absolutely see them making a move for Love at the right price. He fits well from a basketball stand point and they have enough salary and young players to make it work.

Hell, at this point I'd take Johnson, Bridges, plus Diallo and/or a pick. Then the Suns could move Saric or Kaminsky once Kaminsky came back.

Why did he resign with the Cavs,,he knew what he was getting himself into.
Why is he being a whiny bitch now?
I hated it when it happened and got flack for it. It never made sense for both parties and people were saying we could always trade him for good first rounder. We would be lucky to get a second for him at this point because his way overpaid, unless the dumbass knicks come calling.

This ain't the NFL man. NBA don't do revised contracts.
Was about to say the same thing. Hopefully they change it in the next CBA.

I highly doubt it. The reason NFL can do shit like that is because the contracts aren't guaranteed. No player will change the contract when the money is guaranteed. NFL likely won't be able to do this shit after the next CBA where players are pushing hard for guaranteed money.

Hopefully they can find a trade sooner than later. If he is shouting at Koby and the coaching staff, my guess is he doesn't like Beilein and the coaching staff.

I could see Vet player hating Beilein's offense and the slow or lack of adjustments. It seems like Clarkson and Love were good friends, which could add to his frustrations.

I'm not sure he doesn't like Beilein but I do think he is upset with the GM. On the court I think it's the dumb/young players on the team that he's had problems playing with and I don't think he's the only one that feels that way. That play, for example; he was more upset with Beilein but people that want to bash on Sexton took it and ran with it like Love was blasting Sexton.

There are different things wrong in that play:

I think Beilein was motioning for Thompson to set the screen but Thompson was wandering around out of bounds.

Beilein is calling a play because he can't trust the young players on the team and has to micromanage them into correct plays. With his focus on that he misses that Love has a shorty on him.

Of course, if any of the young guards had any basketball awareness they would have quickly gotten the ball to Love but it wasn't recognized by Sexton.

This one play is just but one example of the truly mind numbing stupidity on the court this year with this team and over 90% of it is just bad decision making from a lack of court awareness. Even someone like me that watches summer league games has had to switch it off a lot of times because I get so mad watching them.

So I don't think Love should have made a scene so to speak but honestly I thought his mannerisms were more funny than anything. But I think as mad as I get watching what is going on, it is worse for veteran players that know how to play, to play in this way.

I also don't think this team should be as bad as their record with Love & Thompson on the team but I guess the front office wants all of these young players playing big minutes so it is what it is.

Along with all that, one opposing GM told SI.com on Monday that many executives consider Love "the prime suspect" in a recent report from The Athletic. It quoted anonymous sources who expressed displeasure with new coach John Beilein.

"Isn't he the only one who has not refuted (the report) or backed Beilein?" the GM asked. "Pretty sure everyone else who matters has."

The young players should get major minutes
Develop them and insure the top ten pick
Tt has to be traded. He will not resign here and i dont blame him. Love ? We will see what is offered

Just read this and leads me to believe a Love to Portland trade may finally be a possiblity:

With either Whiteside or Bazemore, it's fairly easy to put a Love package together. Simons, Collins, or a draft pick woud interest me to end this drama.

"His cap space does nothing for us".

Really? We can't do anything with $30 million a year for the next three years? There aren't any good NBA players who would take that money?

Even if they were crappy NBA players, we might be able to grab onto some good draft picks in exchange for taking on those contract.

The players may push hard for it, but I think there's next to no chance that the owners agree to that. Anyway, NFL teams essentially partially guarantees many contracts via signing/roster bonuses, and/or actual partial guarantees. The bonuses obviously would disappear if you started guaranteeing actual contracts.

Still don't think the owners should do that.

Portland is tough, I would love to give Love to someone he actually wants to play for but they just don’t have anything valuable that they’d be actually willing to part with. I doubt they’d want to give away Collins or Simons even though just one of them would be good enough for me to pull the trigger

Just spit balling, but I'm wondering if Love and Henson for Whiteside and Collins would interest them.

It really seems like Phoenix is our best bet. The framework is there, and they have current young players and all their picks...with just haggling over what is and is not included by both sides until someone breaks.

If we took a package around T.Johnson, Kaminsky, and argue over Jerome/Bridges/C. Johnson/picks, the PHX starting 5 looks pretty interesting with Love:

Rubio
Booker
Oubre
Love
Ayton

All under contract for the next 3 years too. With Saric, Bridges/Johnson, & Baynes...just need a reasonable back-up PG.

The way Oubre is playing, that isn't a bad 8 man rotation if they squeeze into the playoffs.
