Kyrie is an old looking 29 year old. His body is pretty weak. I doubt he has a viable Career into his mid 30s

Health and minutes management is something I think rarely gets put into the equation for team building and winning. I think it's something to consider for the Cavs and long term success. At some point extra minutes won't further help a player develop but it puts unnecessary wear and tear on them.

It's one of the reasons why I'm not so worried about Green and Sexton sharing the same position if we draft Green. You need multiple players that can help take the load off each other. Long term we will be better off if our guys are playing 30-32 minutes a game instead of 36.

We see so much of playoff success this year depend on health. Better load and minutes management might have kept some of those guys health.

Let's go back to the part where we basically agree that everyone involved in the 2015 - 2018 Warriors vs. Cavs Finals runs have been banged up ever since. Kyrie actually didn't even qualify for my original statement because he was a Celtic in 2018, so I left him off. Even still, Kyrie has been objectively banged up ever since. Even Curry missed most of a season and I called him the healthy one. As we talk about Love's injuries, it's wise to peep what's going on with the other players who logged heavy playoff minutes four years in a row.

The 2015 playoffs alone cooked Delly physically. I don't think his body ever truly recovered from that Game 3. Still might be my favorite single game performance by a Cav simply because of what he gave. His off-ball defense in that game...I don't think I've ever seen it's like before or since.

I've said for a long time that I don't think Kyrie is happy playing basketball in the NBA, and I could see him retire early.
I agree. He never really seemed like playing was a joy to him. Odd duck but to each their own. Very curious to see what his after NBA life consists of

Crazy to think one of the worst teams in the NBA has two players representing them in the Olympics.

And if you add loves 25 games played and garlands 54 you still can’t come to a full season
I do honestly feel this is a great opportunity for garland to mingle and learn. Unless he gets hurt there is only upside for garland for himself and the Cavs here

as for love. Eh. Who cares. If love is healthy even at his age he has value to us. Not sure in a trade. We just limit his minutes. no matter what he does in these games He is not going to bring much back in a trade. I would keep him use him. Next year with one year left a lot changes

go garland. I hope he gets some mins during all of this

Not sure if the idea of packaging Love with Sexton in any potential trade actually has legs, but I've read about it a handful of times. Is there any logical reason to do such a thing? From what I see, we're nowhere near ready to make a big splash during free agency this year, so why the rush to clear cap space? Why the hell would we diminish any returns for Collin by attaching Kevin's contract to it?

As for Love as a standalone trade piece, is there any reasonable expectation that he can return something positive in a trade? In other words, is there any chance that we wouldn't have to give up something of value in order to ship him out? Even in the best-case scenario where he goes out and kills it in the Olympics, I can't see how we'd get back anything of positive value for him.
