Osman was open but again, that's what we designed up with 6 seconds left? Had no clue they might double Garland? So, I thought about it and cooled down a bit about that pass.
Either the coaches gave them a real PoS play to run, or someone did something wrong (Osman).
Yeah. With the total lack of timeouts I doubt they had an opportunity to draw something up.
It’s basketball 101 in that situation for the player in Osman’s position to immediately sprint to the baseline and receive the pass. They he can look to hit the other guard (Garland) if open, look to the middle of the floor (where Mobley was), or worst case go back to the trailer who inbounded (Love).
You teach 6th graders that stuff. Osman just fell asleep at the wheel and Love tried to make a play to compensate for it.
