So Kirk Herbstreit, in his final rankings, dropped OSU 3 spots (they were 6th pre-bowls, 9th after) despite their bowl win and vaulted LSU, Alabama, and Oklahoma ahead of them despite the fact that Arkansas was a better team than any team that those three defeated. Here are his final rankings:
