These three guys together won’t get as many meaningful minutes as a hard boiled egg the rest of the season and playoffs.

Windler 32.2% career 3pt shooter.
Just you wait. Sam Merrill is going to hit a monster 3 in game 4 of the Finals to push our lead to 36 as we clinch the title

In this offense his 3's would be wide open. He is too good of a3 point shooter to not be an effective offensive player with the gravity that some of the other players on the team produce.

Windler has made 48 three point shots in his career (four seasons with the team).

Okoro has made over 50 three point shots EACH of his first three seasons.

Dylan hasn’t proven anything in the NBA.

And if in this offense his threes would be wide open then that’s an indication he’s not a good shooter. No team consistently leaves “too good of a shooter” guy wide open.

I know it is the G league but please watch the replay of tonights game. You are right the other team would have to guard Windler. Think about how open Mtichell and Garland and Mobley would be. I would hate to have him leave as a FA and then go on to be Joe Harris who we also gave up for some other team.

I think Windler wins the Cabs a playoff game this year.

He would have to stay healthy the rest of the year first. I don’t have an issue bringing him back. Hell he would be the 14-15 guy on the bench and would have to crawl up the roster. He would fill a need if he can stay on the court

Isaiah, Sam and Dylan just tore up the game to get the charge in the playoffs.

I think Koby has a good eye for talent and tries to put guys in the right development system.

If even 2 of
brobley
Travers
Diop
Merril

Become rotation guys that's a big win and will help mitigate some of what we gave up for Donovan

They started him at power forward. 24 points and 15 boards. This was the problem. The Cavaliers were playing him at the 3 when he should be a 4.

“Yeah,” said Windler when asked if this is something he could possibly do at the next level. “You got to be able to guard the four man. That’s something I think I can develop into as I put on weight and mature. I definitely think stretch four is a possibility especially with the league getting smaller and smaller. Being able to have that threat, pick-and-pop guy at the four spot opens up a lot.”

Can't wait until this 26-year-old puts on weight and "matures" into a true power forward. Maybe he won't get hurt as much banging with the other 4's around the league.

Yeah, Windler playing the 4 in the NBA is ridiculous.

Windler does have a 6’-11” wingspan. Maybe get this guy up to 215/220 and he can reinvent himself in to a stretch Four. Windler is one of these players that has a nose for rebounds. Like everyone here I’m skeptical he can stay healthy .

Windler plays big. He rebounds very well, and he has good vision on the court. He gets a lot of assists given his role on the floor. That said, I don't know how he fares against a Julius Randle, but I think he can play four on a team with the right mix..

All that said, to the Cavs , he is pennies from heaven if he contributes at all. I think he will have to earn it in the locker room first. You notice in the interviews , the players specifically mention both Okoro and Stevens, when they talk about players working hard on thier games and getting better.. They don't talk about Caris for example, even though it's clear to me that Caris has achieved a step up with regards to his contribution to the team. So Windler, and Merril both, are going to have to work hard to get that kind of respect, which has to come before trust..
