I think he can be a legit NBA player, but not sure he is ever a true rotational guy on a contender.

Not trying to be negative, I have liked the guy and said that from day 1 he has a shot to stick for a few seasons in the NBA. Being an undrafted player, making it as a teams 10th or 11th guy on the roster is pretty damn good, and we got him for nothing.
with a .365 3 point shot, couldn't he be Taurean Prince-like?

He can defend, his shot is coming around, but he is way to inconsistent to be more than a situational player in my opinion.

Guy is a hard worker, i have rooted for him from day one, while i dont think he can be, i hope he proves me wrong.

I guess I think with a semi-reliable shot he's a solid enough switchable defender to get minutes from most coaches. That corner 3 still looks semi-broken at times, though.

Lamar is good as long as he stays in his role. When he tries to do too much - like when he just goes and gets his shot whether it’s a good shot or not - he’s not helpful. The old line for role players “know your role, stay in your role, star in your role” applies. But I’ll always root for guys like him who have had to earn every dollar of that contract.

He's not a rotation guy yet. I think he might be able to be a backup wing. His strength and defensive ability means he is going to hang around on our team as long as we don't have a starter who can contain the likes of star wings who are 6'7" and up.

He really doesn't need a lot more. I thin he has been consistently good after that wild stretch when he came in for Okoro when he got hurt the first time.

If he can be league average 3pt shooter, he is a real utility guy like Wade.

good for Lamar, puts in the work and sees it pay off.
This is one of those automatic things. Of course, they could get rid of one of Stevens, Davis, or Wade within the next hour to avoid guaranteeing them, but it's not like guaranteeing his contract for the rest of the season is a unique statement of the Cavs' commitment to Stevens. Davis and Wade''s contracts are also slated to become guaranteed today.

I find Stevens more useful than Wade, but both are legit back of the bench NBA guys not G-League guys on 10 day or 50/50 contracts.

Stevens is such a bad ball handler he makes me cringe at times/ But if you want to rough up a guy a bit and play hard nose defense on him on a guy as strong as an ox, Lamar is your guy. I will always root for Lamar, the way he plans and goes all out makes him easy to root for.

I think the formula for finding a 2nd round or UDFA player includes upper classmates in ok but not great teams in good conferences, with an NBA ready body.. Lamar carried a lot of load at PSU, showed hard nosed play, but was not Flashy.. Lunch bucket kinda guy.. we basically taught him to shoot..

At the Pacers game, second half warm up he was bricking every 3 from the left corner. But on the same side of the are from 30- 45 degrees off the base line, he was easy money..

Eric Bossi on Twitter: The Night King throws the best Javelin I've seen since Lamar in Revenge of the Nerds. https://t.co/asXz3ADX96 / Twitter

I'm not saying he's there yet, but maybe after another training camp and a little work on his shooting form, handles, range & knife-face scars he could be Paul Pierce.

Notice the aerodynamic qualities of that specially-designed javelin to work with his limp-wristed throwing motion.

That's science right there.

I thought it was a bit obscure of a reference on the joke. Some of you guys just dont disappoint on catching my humor.

Not sure you should be proud or embarrassed........probably a little of both.

Revenge of the Nerds is criminally underrated. Should have beaten Amadeus for Best Picture.
