We really have some good option to throw on big scorers.

JA can Switch on 2-5 and guard the biggest guys
Mobley Switch 1-5 and guard 3-5 excluding the biggest guys
Wade guards all medium sized dudes
Stevens- 2-4 Strong guys
Okoro Quick and strong guards and 3s

As "bas" as the team has been playing lately being sort of out of sorts because of missing pieces, very few top scorers have been going off. Derozan was the exception. Everyone else has been having a really hard time.

There are clubs where Stevens would be suspended for "conduct detrimental to the team" for the way he passes up a wide open three, takes a few dribbles and shoots a long two.

But as long as he's making those, I'm fine with it

Stevens is the kind of guy who can come off the bench and randomly win a playoff game. His defense or offensive aggression can both turn the tables

Physical profile wise... he should model his game to Reuben Patterson/Bonzi Wells.... bruising slasher SF types that can play spot sg/pf....

Crazy part is he has almost identical numbers to last season but is way more impactful this season.

Really believe you could put him in as a starter with consistent minutes and he’s a 14-15ppg a night kinda guy… Just the way he gets to his spots and doesn’t play outside of what his style of game is…

Stevens was the alpha in college and thrived on the midrange game. That is a really useful skillset to have on a role player who may be asked to play up a spot or two in the rotation and at the same time doesn't complain about lack of touches. Stevens is basically now what Melo shouldve been for the last 5 years or so...
