There’s no reason he can’t grab a slice of the 2/3 rotation in my eyes with a jumper. Lauri is injury prone and shouldn’t be ridden into the ground minutes wise. Ochai/Levert/Okoro all have question marks. Maybe a defensive lineup will get a spin especially if he can still be a 3 outlet if Mobley/Love are out there.

The winner of the 3 spot lottery this year will go to whoever consistently plays D and spaces the floor. He had some very bright flashes last year. He certainly seems to want it. Playing for his first multigenerational wealth deal. Great problems to have. Hope Bickerstaff can see his development through.

Koby has definitely hit on more of these kind of pickups than Chris Grant in post LeBron rebuild v1

People will obviously get dinged up along the way and open up minutes for him and Wade.

I just don’t see where either of them find minutes if we’re close to full strength.

Garland
Rubio/Neto
Sexton
Agbaji
Okoro
LeVert
Markkanen
Mobley
Love
Allen
Lopez

That’s already 11 deep. I just don’t see how Stevens or Wade cracks the healthy rotation with Sexton/Agbaji/Okoro/LeVert/Markkanen playing their minutes exclusively at the 2/3.

That’s a feature, not a bug. I like both these guys but if they’re rotation players the bench sucks.

Grant got Delly and Alonzo Gee. Hitting on a player of Delly's level as a UDFA is pretty huge. Alonzo Gee put in alot of minutes for the Cavs and he basically played the same role that Okoro has been asked to play. Gee seem like a more versatile defender than Okoro is now but he hit his ceiling in year 3 with the Cavs and couldn't put together a good enough offensive game.

Gee was more athlete than basketball savant. Okoro is a better passer. Loved Gee tho he played really hard

I think if they pressed Gee to become a better 3pt shooting threat that he would have had a longer career in the NBA. I don't think Gee had any problems defending wings of any kind. He could guard PGs when asked. He just ended up on the wrong team that had no clue the value of 3&D wings at the time.

Gee always picked a guys pocket and AC would say, "He gets one of those every game, offensive player went to sleep"

He got that legendary oop from Baron Davis.

Who's wife did this guy fuck to not get any minutes

I'm not gonna get my hopes up.

We saw this last year where he would relaly show out only to see 5 minutes the following night straight to DNPs.

He’s like the Richard Higgins of the cavs. He’s better than the guy ahead of him and produces when he plays but the coaches hate to play him for whatever reason.

He's better than Okoro but we still need a SF because LeVert is a guard, Wade is a bench player, Stevens is an end of rotation guy while Okoro is a g leaguer

It's going to be nearly impossible with what the Cavs have left to find a better starter at the spot than either LeVert or Wade.
