Lopez is a giant waste of a roster spot. As I've said before, one of this regimes biggest gaffes was letting Hartenstein walk when we drafted Mobley because they thought they had no use for another center. Hell, I'd take Moses Brown back over Lopez, he'd at least bang some underneath and he could score. Hopefully they signed Lopez to be a mentor because if they signed him to play they made a major mascalculation

I thought Hartenstein had to have done something messed up for them not to try to bring him back. I couldn't figure out not even trying to match it get a 2nd or anything. Maybe he threatened to go to Europe like some people speculated.

Lopez is ok in some matchups. What I don't understand is not giving Diakite now looks against these athletic teams. I swear, even Allen is at a disadvantage at times against running teams. Need Diakite and Mobley when they do that. Those guys can really get back and are a little better on wings than Allen. Again Diakite doesn't need to be THE backup center, but they should use them when they need extra athleticism in the frontcourt

Hartenstein wanted to resign here and was hoping to sign a long term deal here, but once they drafted Mobley the Cavs thought they had enough at center and did not make Hartenstein a qualifying offer and let him go. Hartenstein ended up signing an NBA minimum deal a month later with the Clippers. Making it even more maddening, after getting Mobley in camp they decided they did need another true center, and went and signed Ed Davis for a million more than Hartenstein got with the Clippers.

Had to be his best all around game as a pro, right?

Hands down. He earned the starting job for a while.
It's not like they have a choice. I've been one of Stevens biggest backers here, but it's by default. The only other options are Okoro, who probably doesn't belong in the league, and Allen, who apparently took a course from the Dylan Windler school of health and fitness.

His girlfriends too hot and was making everybody jealous

What I don’t get is why didn’t we try get Bol Bol, think it was obvious he was going to become a productive player at some point. I’m think perhaps his agent wanted him to go to a bad team so he could get more minutes

I think Bol Bol needs more playing time to build up his form. The time will come and he will prove himself. He has potential. At the moment, he can play on a badder team as well.

Hey everyone!

I think his agent would be negligent if they let Bol Bol come to a team that has two young all-stars at C/PF.....

Not if he started at SF!
I still wonder about Mo Bamba at the 3 from time to time. Teams would try to make him dribble, but he could cash in those 0 dribble pull-ups and draw some defensive attention on the perimeter which may be enough offensively in combination with screening capability. Dunno how he is on relocations. Would need to be perimeter focused with Allen+Mobley but could also play as the center/another lob threat.

Defensively... Hmm... Really depends on his positioning, switching, awareness rotations. I think he may be good enough laterally on the perimeter and would be another shot blocker to add to the mix with Allen and Mobley. It is possible he would be targeted by opposing offenses alongside DG/Mitchell but I dunno how effective that would be.

Anyways... It won't happen more than likely. I do see what you're saying with Bol at the 3. :D Mobley and Allen's versatility allows for a lot of options at the 3. still a bit surprised he was drafted where he was in the mid second round.

Regarding Lamar: I do enjoy his demeanor and he can get some good looks if the timely cuts continue after the Mobley catch on the post.

Stevens will keep grinding

Really impressed with Stevens development this year. Guy is a chiseled rock at 6’-6”-230 lbs. a self made player who was really pissing off Doncic last nite.

Eh, I heard that once the Cavs drafted Mobley, and made their intent to re-sign Allen clear, it was Hartenstein through his agent that asked them not to make the Q.O. so he could play for a team where he was guaranteed to get some run.

He's a really good matchup against 3s who like to play bully ball at a slower speed.

Ah, the Lamar lovers are back. Forgetting his 25 minutes of zero's.

Yeah I heard it was favor to the agent. Hope that favor comes back when we need it
