Really excited for how Lauri is going to look next year. He is looking really aggressive and more confident in the FIBA clips I have seen.

We already saw a much better defender and more mobile player than I expected last year. He started showing some clutch shooting at the end of the year, absolute money in the last month. He gives us a big bodied 3nD guy.

I think he is the 4th most important player on our roster behind the big 3 right now

If he ever got to join Finland in his later days of Bulls tenure - there is NO way he scored 42 with also being this good on defense. He is much more agile than few seasons ago. He is becoming rookie Lauri again in good - but with more confidence and experience and added defensive awareness.

We should not get too jacked up by Laurie going off in International ball. Ukraine's best player is Svi after all. While he's not old, he has put in nearly 9k NBA minutes. He's not going to become something different than he is. He will continue to be a shooter with slow feet; a big body with finesse; skilled but not explosive. Hopefully his feet get a little quicker, his shot gets a little more accurate, and his feel for both ends of the floor gets a little better. In other words, he's a good player who hopefully gets better. With all due respect to JBB, he's closer to adequate than elite. He also works well with our core. But, make no mistake - he is not part of the core. What he does can be replaced. He is exactly the kind of piece that can be moved when someone who does move the needle for us becomes available (Mitchell or Wiggins).

Gems of Google Translate. A more correct translation would be "Victorious practice match".
Generally speaking (see what I did there?) Google Translate sucks with translating from Finnish. There are about 154 different conjugation forms in Finnish (I am not kidding, for comparison English has three of which two usually look very similar (a dog, two dogs, dogs owner), and Google gets lost in translation when attempting to translate anything but the most common conjugation forms.

For example, when you are referring somebody else talking about a third person (for example talking about how JBB talks about Markkanen), Google gets lost (so when in Finnish you would say "JBB kehui Markkasta" and the correct translation would be "JBB complimented Markkanen" Google translates it as "JBB praises Markkas". So please take any Google translated finnish texts with a grain of salt :p
