LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
So way exactly is his relationship with Dan beyond repair now? This doesn't make sense.

Because of the whole failure of LeBron to commit to next year which has impacted front office ability to make trades from what's been leaked. But I get you, why would Gilbert be mad that LeBron wouldn't say he's going to stay. How dare him.

What trade, other than perhaps Melo, has LeBron not committing caused the front office to not be able to make trades? They were literally a last minute flip-flop by the Pacers from getting Paul George.

Which would then assume that Dan is pointing the finger at LBJ.
If it's that bad, tell him to waive his NTC and start the rebuild right now.

Sheridan kind of got the Lebron thing right in 2014 but it seemed to me it was quite lucky. He has been an ESPN back bencher then started his own web site that no longer exists. He has always been described as a fringe player by the main stream NBA family. I lump him in with what Peter Vescey has become. At one time he had sauces now not so sure.

There are reports that it was LeBron's failure to commit that scotched the Pacers deal. Nobody knows, but the whole Owner agreed, then Pritchard squashed it seems as weird as the alternative.

Also some suggestions in media that Butler's sudden change in tune @ Cavs was related to LeBron. Guess it depends on whose anonymous sauces you like.

That's a perfect analysis. I don't know either. But what kind of sauces do you think Vardon has? I mean LeBron just LOVES talking to him right? So Sheridan's less than fresh sources vs. who would be willing to talk to Vardon and not just dump information into him when useful to them. IDK everyone makes their own call.

The sudden change in Butler was supposed to be from Kyrie. He was getting in Butler's ear

Don't agree... Lakers will have over $75M in cap next season and could open up more! Can you say Banana Boat + Ball

So both Magic and Kareem are back on the Lakers during their prime? Okay gotcha....nice try though :eek::eek:

Yeah, I don't buy that at all, at least not George. Pritchard didn't want to trade him in conference/division. I've not heard that LeBron's failure to commit had anything to do with Pritchard's decision on where to trade him until just now from you. Gilbert even let on that he's still pissed about them pulling out in the Altman press conference.

Butler situation is debatable, but if Kyrie truly has wanted out for a while, I'm guessing he's the one that told Butler not to come here (which again, Chicago shouldn't really care where he is traded to, they should be focused on getting the best return back for him, unless they also didn't want to deal him inside the division/conference).

These players did not have NTC's and could not dictate at all where they ended up. It's not like they could veto a trade to the Cavs if they Cavs were offering the kitchen sink for them (as Melo can do).

i have no idea. Who knows if Joe Vardon's source is better than Sheridan's. That's a fool's errand. but worth noting that Sheridan was THE FIRST guy to break the news about Cleveland and the King's return. People (outside Cleve) ragged on him incessantly in the beginning about how he didn't know shit. And Windhorst was all about, he's signing with Miami, they're just lining it up. Yeah, well....

3 years ago and Sheridan was wrong about the details..so basically he made a good guess.

Sheridan is not connected. Barely employed as a writer/reporter anymore.

Vardon is very well respected now. He was very good this year..he is very connectrd. Also had other people corroborating him already. Sheridan has nobody else confirming. plus. An NBA source(could be ANYBODY). Vs LeBron's people(specifically denying this report....which is something he NEVER did in 2010 or 2014...)

Kevin Durant is tweeting about LeBron and trading right now. Didnt they just play pick up like 2 days ago? Odd he would be responding about stuff like that unless he knows something....

The story I heard wasn't about the Nuggets deal, it was about the Kyrie deal with the Suns before the draft, and that GILBERT went to LeBron who said he wouldn't commit even if PG-13 came. And that was the beginning of the new break with Gilbert / LeBron. I have no care whether you believe it or not. Just pointing out that it's out there. What people believe in the moment often proves not close to truth (see The Decision for one example) so maybe it's me that's listening to clueless anonymous sources, maybe it's someone else. It shouldn't effect anyone's self-concept. Nobody knows.

Exactly regarding the NTC. Neither George nor Butler had a say where they would ultimately end up.
The Cavs were never close to getting Butler and Indiana nixed the deal with a division rival and shipped him out west.
The destination and returns are pretty clear that Indiana did not want to send George to Cleveland.
