LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If Bron goes to LA, it will be the first time he's putting off the court ventures above winning basketball games. That team at best will. be Bron, George, 2nd year Lonzo, and Brandon Ingram with 8 garbage/ minimum guys. Not a contender. Not as good as us.

I posted about it months ago, came from my boss at Scene from someone he knew in the organization. I know Vince and trust that someone in the organization told him that. No reason to lie, not like he's looking for sports clicks

Many have and will discount that. Before Kyrie was announced to be on the trading block many thought it was even more ridiculous. Doesn't seem so far fetched now, iyam
Well I had heard several times about PG not wanting to come because of Lebron's not committing.
That is no shock because it happened before.
Several other players have not come to Cleveland for the same reason. If so, that is curious because why wouldn't he stay if someone he wants to play with wants to come?
Is it more than that? Is Gilbert the main reason ?
That has to weigh in the balance.

Interesting. Not really understanding the Frye part, unless maybe Tyson Chandler would have been coming here too, otherwise Frye is just a salary dump in that deal.

Kyrie turning into George + Bledsoe would have been a good deal... should have done that regardless of LeBron's commitment or not. Bledsoe/JR/George/LeBron/Love is a pretty damn good lineup to throw at the Warriors.

It's very interesting how Lebron's commitment or lack thereof was an issue with turning Kyrie into George+Bledsoe but not with turning Love into George. Seems Kyrie-George may have been enough to get Lebron to stay. Kyrie going to Gilbert's office to tell Gilbert he wanted out after the Love for George trade fell through makes more sense in light of that.

I wonder if the Woj article followed by the Sheridan stuff followed by Broussard and others denying the Sheridan stuff is increased friction between Lebron's camp and the Cavs organization. The Cavs front office fielding trade offers with the stance of assuming Lebron is leaving until Lebron commits may have ticked off the Lebron camp, who retaliated with an increased threat to leave.

Lebron is hinting who he wants through social media: Paul George(27), Josh Jackson(20), Hassan Whiteside(28), young enough players that wouldn't screw over the Cavs organization if he left. Lebron has never been in favor of trading Love for Melo, even going so far as to trash the reporter who claimed he was. So I think it's unfair to dichotomize current trade suggestions into win now for Lebron at the expense of the Cavs future or not. Yes Lebron wanted JR and Tristan to get paid, but that's in the distant past.

I think what's going on is the Lebron camp is telling the front office to stand firm and not accept anything less than the players Lebron wants, to the point of holding off trading Kyrie if necessary. No trades with teams like Milwaukee, Denver, or Minnesota. There's been buzz about the Cavs wanting Porzingas but Lebron hasn't hinted he wants Porzingas. With only George,Jackson,Whiteside, Lebron is now a conservative poker player who will only go in with a really good hand, while Gilbert doesn't want to wait until the last minute to try to get a decent haul for Kyrie just before Lebron could leave.

Minus Kyrie, depending on what the Cavs get back...they're not an incredibly impressive team.

It's important to remember there is 0 corroboration from any legit source for the story Chris heard. I wouldn't treat it as fact.

While it is nice to think you can trade Kyrie for some longer term assets then use that to become good again if LeBron leaves after this season, it is very unrealistic. This team has traded away many future picks and to get really good in the NBA you almost have to get really bad for a while. If he is leaving, you still want to make one last run at the title. So any trade of Kyrie needs to leave you as the best team in the East or the trade makes no sense to me.

Without Kyrie, we are still the favorites in the East. So any trade that doesn't bring in youth/picks for the future would make no sense. Either way, we aren't beating GS without an injury on their team. If LeBron wants to win a title in 17-18, he will have to carry a team more than he ever has before.

Why the hell would you treat anything as fact?

FROM EITHER SIDE? What LeBron's anonymous "campers" have no reason to ever fudge truth? Don't act like anyone KNOWS truth, its dumb.

And by the way "legit sources" - does that include guys like Stephen A Smith and Skip Bayless? How many times can Windy be wrong and be considered a legit source. Asking for a friend.

Even if it happened, I think it's Lebron putting out BS to gain more control of the Cavs decision making to increase the chances of him staying. Lebron is trying too hard with tweets to Magic and calling LA home, because he really wants to stay. Lebron is the jockey whipping Gilbert and the Cavs front office extra hard to get a roster good enough for him to stay.

I'll stick with what Woj has written on the George situation as facts we can count on. Because Woj is the most trustworthy source of the last decade, and he has not said anything even close to what you are claiming.

The deal was involving Love. The Cavs had permission to and presumably did speak to Paul George directly, and the trade was presumed to be agree on until Indiana backed out at the last second.

Also was reported that we were a situation George was open to staying in long term.

Woj also reported that while the Pacers offered George for Irving, the Cavs turned them down multiple times.

If you wanna die on that hill, be my guest. But I'm not going to just let an unsubstantiated rumor become thought of as a fact or as reliable information on here.

I like the Sheridan stuff coming out also because it also hints to Presti that the only way to avoid a Lebron-George superteam in the West is to give us Paul George.

Yeah, because Presti should care so much about a Lebron-George "superteam" in the West when Golden State lurks there.

The logical hoops you brain-loop through so we end up with Paul George are astounding. It's too bad the Ringling Bros. just closed up shop, you'd have made an ideal circus strategist.

The OKC move that Kawakami - who isn't even that bad for being a GS writer, certainly better than Haynes - speculated on was that Presti would bend over next year on a S&T to give GS a big 5, so as to not lose PG for nothing.

It sounds ridiculous on its face, but I wouldn't put anything past much of the rest of the league after the former Mavaliers bent over on Bogut and Barnes to allow GS to get KD. A Iggy and/or Liv+scraps S&T would be even worse because of them being older than PG - even if it wouldn't necessarily be that much of a downgrade for OKC, it extends GS's window-and it would technically be possible for GS to keep Iggy and only give up Liv+McCaw+scraps.

On GS's end, yes, they turned down PG-for-Klay apparently, but if you can only give up your bench players...

For starters, Kawakami is full of shit. Two, the league already realizes how fucked up their product is by allowing Durant to go to Golden State. Any trade that sends a caliber of player like George to that team would be vetoed. And third, that has nothing to do with the previous poster's boneheaded assumption that Presti would be shaking in his boots over a hypothetical George-LeBron union in L.A.

If it came down to S&Ting George because he wanted to go to the Lakers, wouldn't it make sense for him to get a couple of young players from L.A. back for him?

Regardless, the Paul George murmurs need to be completely muffled. We had our chance with the guy, it almost came to fruition, but it fell through. Too bad. He's in OKC right now and has gone on record stating that he'd strongly consider staying there depending on what they achieve as a team. Beyond that he's made it clear that he views the Lakers as his ultimate destination.

Now can we get back on track here and discuss plausible scenarios where LeBron and the Cavs are concerned?
