LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Not to be negative nancy. But nothing is promised. OKC and the Spurs (if they get Aldridge or Gasol) could be a juggernaut next year. I think we can be as well. But it could be one of those cases where its a toss up who wins it all.

This year there was no doubt in my mind we had it. Warriors were shaky as hell those first 3 games. Kyrie/Love would have allowed for LeBron to finish the series stronger and also fill the void when we needed scoring.

Imagine Kevin Love hitting a few dagger 3's that JR Smith was missing later in game 1 (regulation)? Imagine LeBron being fresher for game 4? Better yet imagine Kyrie just simply taking over and not being denied. We've seen it this year. Kyrie just saying screw it I'm putting up 40 or 50 points.

Now if we make the finals next year Kyrie/Love are going to have to experience their first true finals. It robbed us this year and there will be playoff growing pains/experiences next year.

I still believe we win it all. It just fricking sucks. We could have had the confidence of getting one this year and then having the championship experience to win it next year.

Sorry for venting. :chuckle:

It was so fucking close. If we win Game 1 in regulation I think we win the series (and Kyrie doesn't get hurt). And we were one bad traveling call and/or one Shumpert 15-footer away from winning it. I hope this doesn't end up looming really large in Cleveland history.

Don't even start... LeBron James is not leaving. I guarantee it. The guy who just came back home, the guy who just made that facebook post the other day, the guy who wrote the letter to Cavs fans preaching patience... Leaving after one season doesn't sound patient to me. LeBron James, Akron native, is not leaving again people, take that to the bank. He'll retire here.

My problem with this wait and see crap is that players want to come and play with Lebron. Love is only here because of Lebron, Smith would only return because of Lebron, and any cheap Vets chasing a title would only want to come here with Lebron. So if he is saying I am going to wait and see what I do then why would these guys choice to come here. Just lock in your deal and be the leader you claim to be. I know he is likely not going anywhere so why try to hold the front office hostage. They can do their job better with your deal in place and not the opposite.

The wait and see leads to speculation as he does have the ABILITY to leave.
God forbid he gives the Cavs the same commitment he gave to Miami to eliminate all doubt.
He did give his social media "pledge" to the Cavs recently with his comments, but ESPIN is always looking for a story and will run with this.
It would also help if the Cleveland media/radio wasn't so goddam paranoid.

He committed to us long term when he write that letter in SI last year.

The Haynes story is a non-story. It's nothing we didn't already know. It may have just been a gift for him from Rich Paul to get him(Haynes) some mentions. But its literally a non news event. It will be a non news event when he opts out officially. it will be a non news event when we take care of the Love, Tristan, Haywood, Shump first.

Anyone Cleveland fan who spends a single instant of time giving legitimacy or fear to the idea that he could leave this summer is a complete idiot. That sounds harsh but it is the absolute truth

You can extend that to anyone, not just Cleveland fans. In fact, I think we should keep track of "respected" NBA journalists who even entertain the idea of him leaving, so they can get moved to the "not respected" pile.

But nobody is actually hinting that he may leave, are they?

I have yet to see a serious take on it from the media, but once he opts out there will be click bait headlines. But yeah, its silly and stupid and a waste of time to even be discussing

stop reading Chris Haynes

I didn't even read it.

What does this have to do with the fact that it will be talked about all over the sports world until he signs?

I think people misunderstood you. You did't say that you were concerned about him leaving or even considering it. You just said you were annoyed that it would be something we'd have to here if we flip on any national sports talk radio show. Right?

Pretty much any sports website, radio show, or TV broadcast. Yes. Correct.

So basically, only come to RCF for the next 3 weeks. Every year. Around this time period.
