Yep. Strus and Niang being the answer is a really difficult pill to swallow

Garland needs to go to the bench and willing to see Niang start. Cavs starters too small against Boston that they just switch everything.

Team needed a three point specialist, Koby smacked down $63 million on the table and locked one down for the next four years. But fans are still complaining…smh. Whenever I see Strus on the court I know I’m looking at a THREE POINT SPECIALIST and I don’t need to worry about shooting any more!

Don't have a problem with the Strus deal -- he's been overly productive despite streaky shooting.. Even if he's not shooting well he's still contributing in other ways (rebounds, assists, spacing).. Think the problem is ideally he's your sixth man, or he's your shooting guard and you have an elite guard and wing combo..

Not sure what the rush was to give Niang $8M+ AAV for three years... That $8M range seems to be a deadspot any value: Gary Payon, TJ McConnell, Delon Wright, Jock Landale, Trey Lyles, and MO Wagner..

Niang would get eaten alive in this series. Good thing for him is he’s gonna eat back, bad thing for us is it won’t be on the basketball court

I think you try to see what you can get for Garland first and try to build a package around him. I would move away from our top 2 scorers being guards. I'm not so willing to give up on Mobley. I just think this is Allen's ceiling.

If you can't get a good player for Garland and some of the role players then I'm adding Allen in to get someone. Maybe try to get a borderline starter center or PG back.

Even if he's not shooting well

Ok but the giant, gargantuan problem with this is that he was brought in specifically to knock down shots after a playoff series where that was correctly identified as a major deficiency

Not only that, Strus’ non-shooting contributions are wildly exaggerated. He’s fine. No where close to worth that money if he’s not shooting

I know people are concerned about taking a big loss from a talent stand point in a Garland trade, but this just isn't working. If you get Donovan to stay, I see no way that you can continue moving forward with Darius here.

He's basically been a JAG in 8 playoff games outside of 1 huge quarter.

That sf better be really good . We could also use a pg that is not a horrid defender , not injury prone and does not play scared tooo….
