Let it all out. The Cavaliers Rant Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think a better questions is - does everyone still feel comfortable the Cavs will come out of the East?

It's still early and I don't think any of the other teams can beat us in a 7 game series, but I'm not nearly as confident as I was before the season.

I still think we should be able to come out of the east. I don't think Washington, Atlanta, Toronto or Chicago can beat us 4 times. But right now the way the West is built with real (not soft) centers, I think we're going to have a tough time there. Actually, other than Atlanta, the 3 point shooting in the east is kind of soft as well. Meanwhile San Antonio, Houston, Golden State, the Clippers, Memphis, Portland, OKC and Dallas have balanced teams when healthy. I have a tough time believing we could beat any of them in a 7 game series with our roster shaped the way it is and the inconsistent shooting that has plagued Cleveland for the last decade plus. Griffin needs to get off his thumbs right about now so the team can build chemistry with whoever we sign or trade for.

We probably come out of the east. I don't know that we win it all until next season after we use Haywood's contract to get another key player.

The only thing we can know for sure is that whoever comes out of the West is gonna be an absolute beast of a team.

And if we make it that far I'll be very happy, even if we lose bad in the finals. The Eastern teams aren't pushovers this year, getting past them would be a great sign that we could maybe win it all in the years to come.

So tonight we found one way to not blow a big 1st quarter lead.

Lol I'm enjoying the common theme that we burned our assets and now we are fucked. This board has such a mob mentality. We had to be sure we had room to sign lebron and we have a great trade chip with Haywood. All of this and we snagged yet another superstar. People complain now but this season isn't the finished project with Haywood likely bringing us a key piece. That being said the unfinished product is still damn damn good.

I guess everyone blaming griffin is just the human need for a scape goat.

Don't blame Griffin, blame:

I don't blame Griffin. I blame Chris Grant. He was good at stacking assets, but outside of Kyrie, bad at drafting.

Whoever comes out of the west will be a beast for sure. I'm betting they will be beat up pretty bad from all those hard fought playoff games against elite teams.

Yes, and then hopefully Bronie will get in the zone and crush all opposition! Muahaha!

My rant: I'm sick of Lebron thinking he is such a smart guy that he can just run the team. He has a coach, let him coach. Whatever Lebron thinks he is, smart or not, blatt is smarter. Princeton educated and successful at almost every level. Enough of lebrons bullshit, and enough of the subbing himself in when he wants and not running the offense. If he didn't figure out that he needs to run an offense the right way and not play Lebron ball all day in Miami then we are screwed here. When they play in the offense, it's a sight to see, but he and his clique of guys clearly are doing what they want again and ignoring any semblance of stability that the team really needs(especially the young guy). If it doesn't get itself sorted out and he doesn't get his head out of his ass then we are in deep shit. End rant.

The thing about LeBron "stealing minutes" and Blatt saying "I'm not gonna say no" is disturbing. That's a really unhealthy dynamic which can only end badly. If anything about LeBron has declined over the years, I wish it was the "power" he has over people in this league. I was looking forward to a Blatt run team but now I am not sure who is really in charge.

I don't blame anyone (except maybe Gilbert and his playoff mandate),but we def burned assets in last year's midseason trades for Hawes and Deng. That SAC pick, which is likely to be realized this year, was definitely wasted.

It's gonna be a sad day when the Bulls get the 11th pick this year :bigcry:

its hard to see Sacramento being worse than 11th, there is 10 teams in nba who should be clearly worse than Sacramento, if the Kings plays anything like they did so far, the pick looks really good for the bulls this year.

this will be the 11th pick.

1. PHI
2. DET
3. NYK
4. MIN
5. UTA
6. LAL
7. BOS
8. ORL
9. IND
10. CHA

I mean this team doesn't look like a championship team right now, no doubt, but i'll give just a little comforting fact. The Cavs have played the 8th toughest schedule so far, and it's the toughest out of all of the playoff bound teams, save for New Orleans, who probably won't be playoff bound for long.
