Lynch Banned From Hornets' Practice

NOLA.com - Hornets coach Byron Scott said it was his decision to ban backup forward George Lynch from training camp.

During Monday's Media Day, Lynch made a request to be traded because he wants to play for a contending team. Lynch is in the final year of his contract with the Hornets.

"I don't want those type of distractions in our locker room,'' Scott said after Wednesday's practice at Southern Nazarene University. "George has made it clear that he wants to be traded, and we made it clear that we want to trade him. So that's not like something new. We want to try and get rid of him, try to make him happy. As far as I'm concerned, if a player doesn't want to be here, I don't want him here.''

Lynch is sidelined for up to two to three weeks with a heel injury. Team officials said he will do all of his rehabilitation work in Dallas, his hometown.

George Lynch has just been added to my list of selfish bastards who should be banned from playing period. :heated: :lame: :gtfo:

Every team needs a veteran who can shoot just over 30% from the field and 27% from behind the arc. I vote George Lynch off this NBA island.

Really though. On what grounds do you ask for a trade if you're a career bench warmer? I bet he knows he won't get a deal anywhere next season and wants a trade to ensure a roster spot.. how lame.

Way to go, your teams city gets ravaged by a natural disaster and all you can think about is being the 15th man for the Mavericks or Spurs. You abandon a team that is going through so much, you make millions your a superstar but you gotta win or your gonna bitch..I hope they put his ass on the disabled list a lot and leave him on the pine

Lynch has complained about his contract for years, much like little Alien Boy Cassell has always. Except Cassell was at least underpaid.
