I will try to simplify this

Current record
Cle 84-67 11 remaining
Chi 76-75 11 rem 8.0GB #3 magic number
Min 73-78 11 rem 11.0GB

Cle 86-76 (2-8 rest)
Chi 87-75 (11-0 rest to win division - as we win tiebreaker)

White Sox -
Tigers(0), Guardians (0),
Tigers (2),
Twins(3), Padres(3), Twins(3)

Guardians -
Twins(0),
Sox(0)
Rangers(2), Tampa(3), KC(6)

Magic # is adding wins to games remaining - Cle win so 76 Chi wins + 11 remaining - 84 Cleveland wins + 1/0 if we need tiebreaker win= (76+11-84 +0) =3

For Min = 73 + 11 - 84 + 0 (as we own the tiebreaker) = 0

Note, mlb says 1 thinking they may win out vs Chi and thus win a 3-way tie. But, only Cle can win in a 3-way tie with 24 current wins for Cle or 19 max wins for Chi between the 3 teams (if Chi wins out). Min can only win 19.

3-way tiebreaker is
If Teams X, Y and Z all finish tied at the top, then the team with the best combined winning percentage against the two other clubs would be the division champ.
Cle - 12-7 + 13-6 = 25-13.. 0 games left
Chi - 7-12 + 6-7 = ..13-18.. 6 games left (max win 19)
Min - 7-6 + 6-13 = 13-19.. 6 games left (max win 19)

Seems like all 3 AL wild card teams will have a better record than the winner of the AL Central...

Heck it's even possible a team with a better record than the AL Central winner WON'T make the playoffs at all this year... That tracks well with Baltimore actually, lol.

Well the teams flushed with cash seem to more times than not be placed on the East and West regions. The financial struggle appears to be occuring where the Central teams are located....in both leagues.

No surprises that Sox won vs Rockies in their cupcake week of a schedule. The more we keep this 3 game lead until after we are done with our series with them next week where we start our cupcake schedule (other than TB), the better our chances. I estimated that we can go 1 GB during this coming week and still come back to catch them.

The probabilities
538 - 78%
ESPN - 74%
BR - 74.5%
FG - 73.5%

Quantrill is undefeated in his last 32 starts at Progressive. We have 9 more home games than road games the rest of the way. I propose that we start him in all home games.

We have 7 at home in 6 days, so he will start today and Monday at home. Then 6 road games, he starts 1, then 9 home games where if he is speed up by skipping 5th starter on off day, he gets 2 more home starts.

No, see my idea is that he start all remaining 16 home games because he’s undefeated at home. That would give us guaranteed 91 wins, with just the need to go maybe .200 on the road to win the division. :chuckle::chuckle::chuckle::chuckle:

Some people just dont get brilliant sarcasm. I am on board. Do you think we start him on the road a game or 2 also?

I’m thinking with the need to just go .200 on the road, we just run Bieber, TMac, Morris and Pilk out. We should be able to hit that low bar with that bunch

You guys think too small.

How much would it cost to have Progressive buy the naming rights for every stadium in MLB?

:bling:

Amazing, still laughing, just fucking amazing.

So its the name of the stadium he pitches in, not the location?
