It depends I guess.

It would be so terribly nice to have a Top 5 QB finally.

How much money, and how many picks, have the Browns burned through to get a guy like Watson and have failed?

Why did they pass on him again?

Its so hard.

Why couldn't Baker set aside his fucking adolescent mind-set and fix his deficiencies?

Why?

I edited my post. But yes its a very good thing the browns didnt trade multiple first round picks for watson, it almost never works out for the team trading the picks

Could have had Stafford.

Some perspective.

The Browns didn’t get Deshaun Watson, probable serial sexual assaulter, while having the best offer on the table. While he has not yet declared a winner of his sweepstakes, he has declared that the Browns are the losers.

Amid this, the Browns current mediocre (former #1 pick) QB is demanding a trade.

This immediately after a year where that QB and thus the team wildly underachieved supposed SB expectations.

@Mr. Orange ain’t far off. Franchise sucks.

does he come with Kupp?
Receivers are much easier to come by than franchise QBs.

Your example of teams not winning large trades for QBs, has recently had a very prominent example to the contrary.

Having Cooper Kupp certainly helped.

But that is also the point.

The Rams were a proper QB away from real contention so the cost was acceptable.

The Browns probably would not need a Kupp for Watson to succeed given the other weapons.

No Kupp, but a better line and Chubb.

It would have been sufficient.

QBs? I said nothing about QBs. I said other than the 2021-2022 Rams no team that has ever traded multiple first round picks for a player/pick has ever won a super bowl.

That said the Rams were significantly more talented than the Browns last year, even if you take away QBs

Probably worth noting that it's a very rare thing for a QB the caliber of Watson to actually be traded at his current age. It essentially doesn't happen. Has a top ten QB in their mid-twenties ever gotten traded in NFL history?

Oh I misunderstood.

Yes, there is a big reason for teams not winning those types of trades.

Only QBs are worth that payout, and then only in certain situations where the team is set.

Atlanta or Carolina would probably suck for years after making a big trade for Watson.

I'm just glad we don't have to be the butt of massage jokes.
