I think everyone on this topic is ignoring that it is really Watson that is in the drivers seat here. He is the one with the no trade clause. Meaning, if I am him, I don't want the team to over pay for me. Wouldn't matter how much each team offered as I can simply refuse to accept a trade to any team but the one I prefer, and at a price that is acceptable to me. Otherwise, I just stay in Houston and collect my check for two years, and then sign with the team I'd prefer to play with as a free agent without costing that team any assets. I would want to win the SB. The more assets they retain. The better my chances. Not worried about Houston as they are no longer the team of my future. Watson is the one with the power, not Houston.

The browns had every chance to play Keenum last year and went out of their way not to. In no world is Keenum with a 7 million dollar cap hit. If the browns can end up with Watson, Keenum is a very easy way to get some much needed cap space.

The browns had every chance to play Keenum last year and went out of their way not to. In no world is Keenum with a 7 million dollar cap hit. If the browns can end up with Watson, Keenum is a very easy way to get some much needed cap space.

He has a $7 million cap hit today but doesn’t mean he’d have one with a potential Watson trade.. They could extend him a year and lower his number this year, or switch his salary to a lower base and create higher incentives if I understand correctly…

Keenum has some bonus money due this weekend so Browns should have a decision before then..

Don’t take Baker being cleared and Baker wanting to play as the Browns not trusting Case..
