We all knew Walker was going to chuck and think that he was the 2nd scoring option, but with Shaq out, this whole thing might get really out of hand. :D

AND...

I am loving these rumors about the Heat bring in Spree. That is a lot a personalities clashing - Jwill, Payton, Walker, Zo and then you bring in Spree and it is just all out enjoyment.

I am loving it.

A change of subject.. THANK YOU

Several times throughout the night they brought up the fact that Miami didn't have D-Jones and E-Jones and thus lsot their deep threats..

I'm sorry, but J-Will is junk..In fact, he is only worth a damn on a transition team..

Walker had 1 solid game.. But I can only imagine the Chucking of shots from him now that Shaq is down for some period of time..

Payton is too old to get anything done...

Works for me, I hate the Heat.. I hope they fail

I watched J-will all night, he doesn't do anything. In his earlier years, he was a pretty good penetrator and had nice court vision, but it appears all he does in Miami is stand at the top of the key, maybe dribble a few step and dish...or take an ill-advised three (the only part of his old game that still remains unfortunately). If Shaq ain't on the court, I see problems. Wade should be the go to guy now, but is Walker gonna know that? And if he does know that, does he care? :dunno:

Right, his offense is not conducive for a team like the Heat..

When he was in Sacramento and everyone was young and played a up and down game (except Divac :chuckles: ) he was able to thrive.. Plus, he was doing stuff no one else was doing..

Hubie Brown changed his game in Memphis, and even though it's a little more under contol, it still is erratic and could spell trouble for Miami...

Way to many quick pullup 3's and when Shaq gets back that will not work... On misses, it not only hurts them in transition defense, but along with Walker who has a quick trigger, it could really mess up the chemistry they had last season..

Again, I love it..

Some say that Wade is better than James. Some argue to that by saying that the only reason Wade is so good is because of Shaq. Now that Shaq is gone, I want to see how Wade does. Can the rest of u alse keep me updated?

And drop ur 2 cents on the topic.

Wade and LeBron are two different players. Wade is more agile. LeBron is taller and stronger. Wade plays better on-ball defense. LeBron shoots better from the arc.

You can't say one is better than the other. You can say, however, that this is going to be the rivalry of the decade. A trifecta, even, if you include Carmelo Anthony in this competition. This will be even better than the Bird-Magic days.

And this injury to Shaq is exactly what they need. They need one of their ball-demanders to go down so they can spread it out more. But it will suck hardcore when he gets back. For Heat fans anyways. :chuckles:

And Sprewell signing with the Heat? Hah! Hahahahahahahahah! I wouldn't be surprised to see Wade changing teams in a few years if personnel moves aren't made. What a mess.

Dwyane Wade: 2008. Destination? New York City. Drool on that NYPost.

No, how about OVERALL better player?

Because I am sick of people saying stupid shit everywhere. Like I am playing XboxLive, and we are just shooting and chatting> Then bball is brought up> Then LBJ is brought up> Then quickly ten retards spit out, "Wade is better. Dwane WADE is the FUTURE. Dwane Wade...."

I have noticed that for some reason, outside of Ohio, not that many people are too found of LBJ. Its like every other state has a vendetta against him.

WTF is going on?

And its pissing me off because at first it was amusing to hear all these people badmouth James, not it is getting ridiculous!

People outside of Cleveland don't like LeBron cause they're jealous. They know he's great, the best, and they're just plain jealous and can't handle it.

Wade is the "sleeper" if you will that came out of the curtains and exploded on the scenes. Only a select few knew he was that great. In this sense, Wade is the underdog. So everyone loves that.

Who is better? I don't know. I would have to say LeBron. Because he's going to have more accomplishment, IMO, and already has. But asking that question is like asking who's better, Larry Bird or Magic Johnson. Dan Marino or John Elway.

They bad mouth Lebron because he was extremely hyped before entering the league, and they were okay with it because they had a chance to get him and know he would be really good. Then the Cavs got him, but they didn't badmouth him just yet because he hadn't proven anything, they were just hoping he wasn't nearly as good as advertised. However, he was that good, and now they can't stand it, and they don't want to hear about it because they don't have him...when a player gets bashed repeatedly on message boards like Shaq or Ginobili or McGrady, even though they clearly great players, you know they are something special.

I agree with your assessment of the two LYXO.. But this in no way will even sniff the Bird and Magic rivalry..

Theirs stems back to college and that 79 Championship game.. One being a Celtic and the other a Laker, and had alot to do with the success of their teams in terms of championships... It became an instant classic because of #1 it being the Celtics- which back in the 80's carries a little more weight then being a Celtic these days..

So whenever you played them in the finals, it became a rivarlry-especially if you played them a couple times in the finals.. It just so happened, Bird played for one, and Magic played for the other..

I assure you, if Magic played for the Blazers and got beat in the conference finals every year by the Lakers- The Lakers and Celtics meeting in the finals would still be a very solid rivalry..It just wouldn't have that extra excitment of knowing it was Magic vs Larry who battled it out in College for a championship..

But if the Blazers got to the finals one year w/Magic, and played the Celtics, it wouldn't have the same appeal just because of the success of the teams..

I think you get what I am saying.. Point being, it had alot more to do with the success of the teams as opposed to the individuals...

Kinda like the Lakers vs Sixers late 70's early 80's rivalry.. But the Celtics and Lakers played it out more...

The problem with the NBA today is the free agency.. You don't have a chance to keep a team together for 5 or 6 years and battle it out with another squad.. The Lakers and Kings 2001 rivalry lasted a year and a half for that very reason..

The NBA tries to promote the invidual rivalry LeBron and his CAVS vs Carmelo and his NUGGETS :thumbdown .. Not going to get it done..

Rivalries are created in the big games, and until teams play each other in consecutive seasons in the playoffs, with basically the same squads they had the previous season, there will be no more NBA rivalries..

Melo and Bron go back to highschool but it doesn't matter Melo isn't good enough he doesn't take over games he scores a few and disappears on offense and defense LeBron has a better jumper too, I remember a game Melo was like 3-17 with like 5 bricks from deep lol. He isn't strong enough to drive in traffic like LeBron either. Wade is LeBron's biggest competition but look Wade is 3 years older then LeBron Lebron is younger now then Wade was his rookie year...so Wade is 3 years closer to his peak when LeBron is about 5-7 years away..

You guys badmouth Carmelo. Say he ain't gonna make it. It's his third year and he doesn't have a complete team yet. Just wait and see. Don't knock him off just yet. Don't be the doubter that everyone else is.

And yes, I suppose it will never live up to the fact that Bird-Magic battled in college. But that's the thing. The battle began once all of them stepped onto the NBA court. It's a new generation of the young battle. And we will see this rivalry for 10, 15 years. It's not fair to say one is better than the other. But damn, will it be sweet over the years to see these guys develop the rivalry. Give Melo a good team, and things will change. He'll get it soon enough. Stars like Wade, Melo, LeBron... it won't be too long until they get a good team built around them or they leave to seek another team that'll do it. I'm glad the Cavaliers did the right thing and constructed everything he could ask for.

I don't really have a problem with MELO.. But not only was it clear his rookie year as who was the better player, but it was beaten to death last year with LeBron's great year, and then Wade taking off..

This is really a two player race, in fact, I would say players like Bosh, and if Ford can stay healthy will pass up Melo as well...

Melo is what he is, much like Glenn Robinson early in his career... He will never provide the dramactic and game changing takeover like LeBron and Wade.. This is mainly due to his lack of being able to get teammates involved and his poor handles with the rock..

My favorite argument that i've seen from Nuggets fans is Melo has LEAD his team to the playoffs and LeBron has not..Totally ignoring the fact that the Nuggz had some talent on that team.. :chuckles: If LeBron was a Nugget, they might be a conference finals contender...

I won't sleep on Melo, but I don't think he brings enough to the table to be considered with the elite.

If the Heat get Sprewell, they'll remind of that show on VH1 with the washed-up stars or never-were-stars. You got the guy who played Balki (Shaq) trying to hold it together and the other class act, Peppa (Wade), but it drops off from there to the sulking, can't-get-his-shit-together Conseco (Walker), that crazy fashion chic (JWill? My metaphor is falling apart) and super ego beeyatch Omorosa (Sprewell). Wheee! Fun viewing. Maybe Wade can try to keep JWilliams from climbing out a window.

Your whole arguement consists of "When Melo has a complete team, then he will be good!"

But excuse me! LeBron got 27/7/7 last year with a shitty team. Like LePip said, if the two switched roles, the teams' reacords would be dramatically changed.

What can we say about Carmelo if he has a "Complete team" around him? Even then people will say that it is his team that is making him good.

And if you don't count the Nuggets as a "complete team", then I don't know when they ever will.
