For those not watching Cantillo - in his first AAA inning, he threw 80% fastballs, averaging 95.6 mph and touching 98. Just hope that his reliance on FB was due to coming into the inning without a full bullpen warm-up as a starter vs reliever. We will see. But, his FB seemed to have good command (almost all misses were 1 ball width away - except 1. His floor is a really good reliever. Starting with this group of Allen, Williams and Bibee is just gravy.

Triston and Joey looking good. Cantillo pitched himself into a pickle in his 3rd inning(I believe), but then pitched himself out of it. Definitely going to help this team if he can stay healthy. Maybe as soon as this season. I'd like to see him use his changeup a bit more, but maybe he's holding it for now.

This Schneemann fellow - I doubt he's any good at all, he strikes out way too much and has been around along time without ever doing much of anything.

But isn't he the kind of guy who should be playing the role that Tyler Freeman is playing? Either make Freeman a free man or get him some every day action in AAA.

For Williams today ... Makes your mouth water at the thought of McK, Allen, Bibee and Williams next year as your top 4 and Cantillo sb ready too with Morris, Gaddis, Curry and others as your backups in AAA.....

Kind of surprise that no one posted Hankins Friday start of 3 inn, 1 hit, 1 walk and 3ks (was hidden in game recap for CleGuardPro), If you throw-out first game, 5-2/3, 2 hits, 1 run, 2 walks and 6ks. Last night, he was followed by Dion with 5 innings 6 hits, 1 walk, 2 runs and 7 ks. Maybe a few more weeks and then we reorganize all these starters.

AAA - Williams, Cantillo, Plesac, Gaddis and One of our current starters
AA - Leftwitch, Burns, Nikhazy, Stanley, (Carver IL) with Hankins and possibly Dion deserving call up
A+ - Mace, Webb, Boone, Johnston, Davenport, Denholm, ... Dion and Hankins when Campbell should be back and Messick (1.24 ERA and .97 WHIP and Petterson (last 3 games - 0 ERA) -pitching lights out in Lynchburg.
