Hooray Scott Moss!. Couple other notes of interest in this game. Bobby Bradley hit a 3 run homer as the DH. Owen Miller went 3-4 with a walk and now is hitting 467......and he played first base...,,,,hmmmmm.

UPDATE:

RDucks leading 8-3 going into top of the 8th..

Oscar Gonzalez with a solo shot in the 7th (gets same pitcher he hit the opening night walk-off homer off of).
Tyler Freeman hitting leadoff. 1-3 with triple. .300 on the season.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

EDIT:
Its gone final. RDucks win 8-3.

CLE affiliates go 4-0 on the night. So far a combine record of 14-2...

Tribe farm looking for another sweep. Looks like 14-2 for the season. The Hillcats are slumping though...only scored 7 runs tonight. Time to fire the hitting coach.

Btw Mad, love your minor league reports.

I took a peak at all the organization records after Friday's games....
Part curiosity & part dry run for the report on Monday...

So far CLE (14-2) & Tampa (12-3) are the only groups above 11 wins (a handful of teams have 11 or 10 wins).
Washington is in the cellar by a large margin (2-14)

Very curious to see how Eli Morgan pitches, as he's the most intriguing starting pitcher in Columbus as far as I'm concerned.

I see his floor as a Tomlin type of pitcher, (crafty softer throwing RH) With no solidified 5th starter right now, Morgan, Moss etc could get a shot to take it and run with it with a solid May...

I pretty much thought the same, but there was word of a little velocity gain and a couple MPH here and there can make a big difference to a pitcher like Morgan. I watching and waiting anxiously.

The Saturday nite games are starting to get underway.

Lynchburg already leads 1-0 in the top of 2nd...

update time

Columbus trails 3-0 bottom of 4th. Eli Morgan is struggling. 4 hits & 4 more walks allowed (3K) in 3+IP so far.
------------------------------
Akron trails 1-0 bottom of 4th but bases are loaded with no one out
------------------------------
Lake County trails 2-0 bottom of 5th
---------------------------------
Lynchburg leads 2-1 in bottom of 6th..

Interesting tidbit: Hillcats SP Morillo allowed 1 run on no hits with 2 walks allowed, 3 HBP (all in same inning with 1 of the walks) & 5 Ks.

Columbus is still down 3-2 but back to back doubles by Krieger and Clement, Johnson's single and a sac fly by Bradley in the 5th. Clement is in LF and has been solid with the bat.

Akron is up 4-1 in the 6th, Lake County down 0-2 in the 8th (no timely hits for LC today) and Lynchburg is up 4-1 in the 8th. Holland had three stolen bases tonight...and they are 3-13 with runners in scoring position. Not sure any low A pitcher wants to face that crew...

Clippers tied the game In the 7th thanks to an error by Beau Taylor at the plate.

Krieger got a walk, Clement bunted him to 2nd, Johnson got a single, mercado hits it to the 3rd baseman and the throw home was mishandled...

Later in the inning, bases are loaded and Miller is up.... he hits a base clearing double! Clippers now lead 6-3!
