Ok, its time for another week of games to begin. Here are the match-ups for this week:

AAA: Columbus (6-5) at Toledo (3-8, Detroit affiliate)
AA: Akron (7-4) hosts Reading (2-10, Philadelphia affiliate)
High A: Lake County (8-4) at Great Lakes (5-7, LA Dodgers affiliate)
Low A: Lynchburg (9-3) hosts Myrtle Beach (6-6, Chi Cubs affiliate)

There is some player movement occurring (at least JC Mejia) just before these series get underway. There is a strong likelihood more movement happens as the week goes on. It will make for some interesting watching.. Enjoy.!

The Mariners have the best combined record among minor league teams as well as the best run differential in the minors. The Nationals sit on the other end of the spectrum.

At this point the CLE affiliates have allowed 29 fewer runs than any other affiliate grouping. Their runs scored is 6th. Good for the 2nd best run differential at +93

Regarding promotions I always recall something Tony Lastoria would say:
To move up somewhere there has to be an opportunity to keep playing & there has to be someone ready/ available to fill the spot vacated by the move.

I am not knocking the idea ZCurry moving but who is he replacing? Who backfills ZCurry??

Both Lake County & Lynchburg are already using 6 man rotations & I don't feel that is a coincidence.

Good question, not sure who he will replace, but I imagine we have several options waiting in the wings to replace him. He will be 23 in a couple months and is fairly advanced. See how he is looking in a couple more starts.

Tuesday game update:

Columbus trails 1-0 after at Toledo. Gose lasted 1.1 IP. 28 pitches, 14 strikes. 1 ER, 1 hit (solo shot), 3 walks allowed, No Ks.
Matt Koch came in & got out of the 2nd inning jam left by Gose.

Akron leads 1-0 going into bottom of 3rd thanks to a manufactured run (walk, single, wild pitch) in bottom of the 1st.

Under the listing of depth arm: Curry was drafted out of Georgia Tech with a shoulder injury. His fastball isn’t all that hard but has tough angle, and this org is good at making pitchers throw harder.

From the Tondo/ Del Gua prospect reports.
Tier 8+ Prospect Periphery .... Unknown Intrigue
Curry and Benton were mid round college SP talents that CLE got as injury discounts. HS pedigree, good college track record. I'm sure you've heard this before. They'll make their debuts this season in A/A+.

He didn't make the IBI top 70 Tribe prospects

That is literally all the info I got on Xzavion. At this point I will be watching for info a little more closely & keeping a wary eye on the stat lines.

Counting the final line today, here are his 2021 stats:
15.1 IP 4 hits allowed, 3 walks allowed, 23 ks 0.00 era and WHIP of 0.456
