Mad is always talking about the Act of Congress required for promotion/demotions like what you are asking here. Whereby I'm sure red tape has to be cut for moves, these things need to happen. The Indians are hanging in the race and can ill afford to lose games like they did yesterday
because of a shit relief performance from a guy who should be pitching a lot better than what he's shown.

At least 2 out of 3 of these guys need to move up the sooner the better. Why? Because the varsity will need them soon enough if they in fact pass the next test.

To use an analogy derived from the saying: Lose the battle, win the war..
I'd rather lose a game then lose a season or multiple seasons.

Throughout the 70s/ 80s/ into the early 90s - that is what happened in CLE. Kids were rushed thru the minors or quick fixes were sought via trade or aged veteran signings.

2021 is a retooling season & the team is remaining very competitive (a huge plus), but the better seasons are around the corner in 2022/ 2023/ 2024.

Guys like Garza/ F Perez/ Pinto might be gone via minor league free agency or R5 after the season. Hence seeing them makes sense.
Nick M is nowhere near that conversation at this point so don't rush the development or bring up early...

Better to see what else you have & discard if unsuccessful then add another name to the mix that needs a spot during the off-season (even if unsuccessful in 2021 when given the chance).

Cut/demote Gose and promote Perez? I was hoping Gose could make the transition to the mound, but overall he hasn't been able to do it...

The Saturday games for Akron & Lynchburg are underway.

There is no score with AA Akron at Bowie in the top of the 1st...

Low A Lynchburg quickly jumped out to a lead. Its 4-0 in the bottom of the 1st.
Note: There has been an injury delay in the bottom of the 1st. 1B Will Bartlett has come out of the game due to injury after a double play was completed.

AAA Columbus is underway... no score top of 1.

Start of High A Lake County has been delayed..

No score change in the other 2 games (Akron tied at 0 now in the bottom of the 2nd & Lynchburg leads 4-0 top of the 3rd)..

AAA Columbus trails 2-0 in bottom of the 4th (but seem to be threatening to score)

AA Akron leads 3-0 in the bottom of the 5th. Tyler Freeman with a 2 run Blast to increase the RDucks lead in the top of the 5th.

Low A Lynchburg is leading 8-2 in the bottom of the 5th

High A Lake County is still delayed in starting

AAA Columbus has rallied to take the lead 5-2 in bottom of the 5th. Oscar Mercado with 2 out, 3 run blast in the 4th and a solo shot by Trenton Brooks in the 5th.

AA Akron now trails 4-3 in the top of the 7th.. Tyler Freeman is 3-4 with single/ double/ blast so far. RDucks appear to be threatening to put more runs on the board in the 7th..

Low A Lynchburg is leading 8-2 in the bottom of the 7th

Akron has tied it up at 5. Game is now headed into the bottom of the 8th

Columbus leads 5-2 in top of the 7th. Gimenez has not homered in the game & he is scheduled to get 1 more at bat (either in the bottom of the 7th or 8th)

Lynchburg leads 8-2 in the opt of the 9th.

Mercado is finally showing up... .328/.431/.689 for him in the month of June... His walks are up as well... I don't know his BABIP for June, but I feel like this is the 19 Mercado... It may be hard to keep him in AAA if he keeps this up...

AA Akron scored 2 in the top of the 10th but Bowie has already scored 1 in response in the bottom of the 10th. Bowie has based loaded & 1 out. Its currently 7-6..

High A Lake County trails 2-0 in top of the 3rd..

AA Akron is again tied with Bowie, now at 7. Game is going to the 11th. Juan Mota pitched the 9th & 10th innings for the RDucks. Unsure if Nick Mickolajchak or Aaron Pinto are available for the Rducks today (neither has pitched today)...

High A Lake County now trails 5-0 in the 3rd.. Eric Mock does not have it tonight..

Dakody Clemmer in for the RDucks in the bottom of the 11th.

Give the RDucks credit. With 2 outs in the top of the 12th, it was still 9-9. Then the incredible happened.

Passed Ball (by uber prospect Rutschman) scores a run - Single scores another run - walk -walk -Grand Slam by Oscar Gonzalez. - HBP - double adds a run - Single adds a run before a ground out to end inning.
RDucks lead 17-9 going into bottom of the 12th.
Clemmer still in pitching for RDucks.

Captains trail 9-1 in bottom of the 4th..

Rubberducks score 8 in the 12th highlighted by granny by Oscar Gonzalez. Ends up 4-6 with 4 rbi and is now batting 312.

Freeman breaks out of mini slump going 4-7. Palacios with another excellent day as well.

High A Lake County loses 9-2 in 7 innings. Called due to 'Wet Grounds'.
The series is scheduled to wrap up on Sunday afternoon at 1:30 pm

CLE affiliates go 3-1 on the day with a run diff of +15
So on the week the CLE affiliates are 15-5 with a run diff of +41..
