Cool, that kills 3 birds with 1 stone, I didn't want Maurice Cheeks here, plus it fills Philly's coaching hole. Also Jim O'Brien is now available, and considering he's a better coach than Brian Hill who reportedly is getting the Orlando job, that just helps our chances of getting someone decent.

That leaves Portland, Lakers, New York and us looking for a coach. Lakers and Jackson maybe a match. Portland and Saunders will likely match up, whilst New York will either keep Herb as coach or look at Spree's favourite coach PJ. Cavalier's are now the short priced favourite to tab Musselmen which is a good result.

Hey, I like Musselman ...but I like Jim O'Brien alot as well. His teams always play tough defense ...

I am a little sceptical on O'Brien. But he seems to have had some fallings out in both Boston and Phili the past 2 seasons. I do like his defensive mindset, but it seems like he needs particular players to succeed. Saunders and Musselman are the remaining decent candidates remaining before June 30 when McMillan becomes a FA if he isn't resigned in that period.

I do wonder wether the probable lockout is discouraging Gilbert from making further personell decisions. I hope this isn't the case as he could miss out on the main targets and end up with a Chris Jent or Johnny Davis.

I think Jim O'Brien might not be a bad idea for you guys to tell you the truth, his coaching style just didn't fit the Sixers, but I think O'Brien could work out for you guys, then again, this just based on personal opinion.
