They should hire Mark Jackson and expect him to have Westbrick become the ideal teammate for LeBron.

It's like asking a trainer to work with Baker to get him looking as buff as Jimmy G. Not happening.

You guys need to really think about what you’re saying!! Is Westbrook the Westbrook of his Triple Double every game days….but for the vet min or a little more Westbrook would be a very good addition to ANY team if you aren’t expecting a 35-30 ppg scorer!

No !!! It’s not just about numbers…. It’s fit…

Russell Westbrook completely takes you out of your offense…Hs pounds the ball…He is ineffective off the ball…. He takes terrible shots…He is a turnover machine…He doesn’t defend… He fights bigs from rebounds and he doesn’t hold himself accountable…. The guy literally plays for stats cause that’s his game…

Oh and he’s delusional…

And specifically his fit on our team - which would be horrible. I can’t see any way he helps us and a lot of ways he makes us worse.
 
So apparently the Lakers have decided to spend next season being held hostage by "Russ doing his thing". They're looking for a coach who will be nothing but a powerless Westbrook enabler.

This, after the season he had. Unbelievable.

Remember how Carmelo Anthony had trouble find work a number of years ago? It's going to be the same for Russ. He needs to step back and drastically alter his game the way Carmelo did. He's just not that dude anymore, but could have a place at the table if he changes.
 
Carmelo is a very different case. It was always clear how Anthony could fit into a team - just look at how he played in the Olympics. He's an excellent spot up three point shooter and scorer and doesn't necessarily have to dominate the offense if he chooses not to. His only real problem was that he was a bad defender.

Westbrook is totally different. It's very unclear how he operates offensively if he doesn't dominate. And if course he's also an awful defender
