Monitoring Russell Westbrook’s Clippers tenure…

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
You guys are being too harsh on him. LeBron clearly thought his last title was too easy and wanted to play the NBA on Hall of Fame mode by getting Russ and dumping any useful assets his team had.

Seriously this is like just 30+ games worth…. He is going to be amazing to watch piss LeBron off throughout the 2nd half of the season and if they make the playoffs…

Just can’t believe all this packed into such a small sample size…

Cedi's like, hey Russ hold my beer and watch this....

I'll admit I loved Russ in OKC. Fan base will always have fond memories of him there.

I've also long said his play style wouldn't age well. And I cringed when he signed with the Lakers. It's a terrible fit. It's just...no. I like to remember him in OKC. I try to push out of my mind he's a lousy Laker now. I hate to see it.

The weirdest thing about this is that everyone in the universe except the Lakers knew it was a horrible fit right from the start. It has gone pretty exactly how everyone else thought it would, which is actually kind of rare. Not even the slightest surprise or hint of the unexpected.

Like most guys whose game relied almost entirely on elite athleticism and who isn't a good three shooter, Russ fell off and he fell off fast. And it was hilariously predictable.

I still have absolutely no idea what the Lakers were thinking trading for him.

Do what LeBron says at all costs.

I think the weirdest thing is that the Lakers of all teams should have known how much of an anchor Westbrook was after they embarrassingly schemed him out of the Rockets' series less than a year prior to trading for him. They'd double Harden and leave Russ totally open, who just capsized them...LeBron laughed right in his face after Russ advised they double him.

LeBron's had a lot of poor luck when it comes to title runs, but this one's entirely his doing.
