Clearly the Myles Garret comments last week caused discord and disgruntlement amongst his fellow DL and divided the room.
What impressed me the most was how the DL as a whole maintained lane discipline most of the game. Garret was the only offender getting too wide and not sealing the edge early in the game but they fixed it pretty early. If the DL could have done a better job of that against Mahomes the outcome of that game would have been different.
It makes me wonder what he's angling for... The next ESPN Body Issue (a-la Kevin Love), Playgirl, (does that even still exist?), or just a beefcake movie role (the next Conan The Barbarian)?Did you find it distracting?
Just a little!I think the difference in quality from the Bears offense to the Chiefs offense is significant enough that sealing the edge more efficiently maybe isn’t as easy to do against one compared to the other
One of the big flaws in our defense against KC was the way they constantly allowed Mahomes to slip out of the pocket and that was the most glaring problem that week. Just a little more lane discipline would have gotten us off the field on some big 3rd downs.I think the difference in quality from the Bears offense to the Chiefs offense is significant enough that sealing the edge more efficiently maybe isn’t as easy to do against one compared to the other
@CBBI has all 22 I believe
I’d be curious if he has checked this. On the surface it seems like this is exaggerated
After the game in a radio interview Malik gave Garrett credit for bringing the DL together on Thursday night to watch film, figure out how they were going to get home more often, and maintain better lane discipline.The Browns interior defensive line is a lot better this year. Both Malik's are a massive upgrade.
There were times when Peter's didn't even make an effort to touch him until he was in the pocket. Poor Justin FieldsGreat game by Myles - got sacks from all over. But what the hell were the Bears thinking in leaving old and extraordinarily slow Jason Peters out there on an island against Myles the whole game? Garrett was the worst matchup possible for Peters because of his extraordinary speed/bend around the edge.
It looked like one of those horrible videos where some shitty kid is beating up some old man who was just trying to get some sleep leaning against a wall or something.
