Solid Post mult.
I have heard their defense is predicated on switching, and they are masterful at it; forcing opponents to seem like they're running up an escalator that is heading downwards.
A LeBron vs Curry series, with LeBron being considered the underdog; then halfway through LeBron's quest, the media is going to flip flop and say LeBron is still the undisputed best player in basketball period.
The problem with that Orlando series was we didn't have a soul who could guard young Dwight Howard. We had LeBron, they had some chumps that tried to guard him but he put up other worldly numbers in that series too. The loss was because ultimately got shelled from deep. Casual fans of basketball will think "oh the Warriors that's going to happen again because they are so good at shooting 3s!"
LeBron is the player that Golden State has no answer to. Draymond is a really solid player, but think LeBron doesn't recognize all this attention Draymond has been getting. "THAT'S TOO EASY!" LeBron could quickly teach this kid a thing or two physically. If Bron decides to go all Akeem on his ass and get up in that post, it's going to set everything else up for our team.
Don't forget about Kyrie. He needs one last performance. Seriously, that's all it might need to come down to. Even guys like Jimmy Jones, when they hit 1 or 2 shots to break the ice and keep the machine greased it really helps our team.
I'd actually be really content if Bron penetrated the middle of the lane, or posted down low and shot 15-20 baby jump hooks per game. This is not going to happen, do you guys trust those shots he puts up when he gets deep position and decides to go for a hook shot instead?
If James decides he's going to abuse GS in the post this series could get really interesting. That takes a lot of energy out of LBJ, but if he can command attention down there, it can warp their defense; then LeBron will perform surgery and pick them apart with his court vision and passing ability.
We really can neutralize some of their role players. If we're over aggressive on defense and they are passing the ball we're in trouble. If we're too lax on defense we're going to get rained on. If we're too aggressive guarding them, the whistle is going to go against us.
That, and fatigue are going to be the hardest part about this series.
