Dude, have you not watched the whole playoffs? We have been without Love and Kyrie 80% of the time and we made it this far while LeBron has played nothing but hard. He had 44 points last game for crying out loud.
But no, he will go "chill" mode now that it's the Finals . Only reason we would get swept is because we weren't good enough without Kyrie and Love, not because LeBron went "chill mode".
LeBron is the only player I'm not worried about. Everyone else has to step up if we want to have a chance.
One thing we can honestly guarantee with Delly-Shump-Bron-TT-Moz is DEFENSE.
Make it a grind it out Mike Brown game and outscore them by playing smashmouth defense.
You cannot do anything against destiny. Our destiny is to win this whole thing.
Reasoning that way will indeed make it less enjoyable. Hopefully we get some good basketball and ENJOY Cleveland sports for once WIN or loose. Don't get caught up in the drama cause it's meant to rob you of what has been a really fun season. Remember the Browns are the next team up. Yikes!I hope you are right. I was so jazzed for these Finals, but I feel totally let down. I feel like we went from just as good as them to needing a miracle. Add to that the facts that we have to contend with refs who call spurious travels and media people with an ax to grind, and my balloon is totally deflated.
I don't see how you go away from Delly and Shump. It's sink or swim time.
JR needs to actually hit a few tonight.
It would seem to be in the best interests of the NBA to call the game in favor of the CAVS for future viewership for the remaining games. Or at least that's what I hope for. From Terry Pluto, more on todays' refs:
Cavs fans looking for some good news will be glad to hear the lead official is Scott Foster. Road teams are 10-1 with him in the playoffs. He has worked three Cavs playoff games, and the road team is 3-0. The Cavs lost Game 1 at home in the Chicago series with Foster. They won Game 4 in Chicago with Foster, and Game 1 in Atlanta with Foster.
12. Foster was also the lead official in the game where Coach David Blatt tried to call a timeout that he didn't have -- that was Game 4 in Chicago.
13. Also on the crew is Tony Brothers, who was the lead official in Game 4 of the Boston series. That was when Brothers and his crew didn't even call a foul when Kelly Olynyk nearly tore off Kevin Love's arm. That was a game where the players got out of control. Brothers did a poor job keeping order. At least he's not the lead official in this game. The third official is Zach Zobra.
Lebron is about to collapse from exhaustion, Shump's groin is about to swell as big as his fro, David Blatt is going to get fired at half time, and Golden State has yet to play close to their best basketball. Delly will be our best player tonight, and that is never a good thing. I'm so certain that the Cavs will lose this series (in fact, lose in 4 games) that I vow to quit my job & to never post again on RCF if the Cavs become NBA champions.
