Jhonny Peralta just set the record for most home runs by a Cleveland Indians shortstop with 24. Take note that this is his first full season and he didnt play regular everyday until about may or so. He played 1 every 3 games or so for a while so expect more things out of the ss of the future!

it looks as if we are set at short for years to come. he is a all-star player for years to come.

Too bad he'll be playin' 3rd before you know it.

Why do you say that? I only know of Gutierrez replacing Casey Blake in right if not next year for sure in 07 they said. And Ryan Garko a hitting machine compared to Todd Helton unseating Broussard at first. I'm pretty sure Ryan Garko is a right handed batter which is good.

no he wont. thats absured. boone has a contract in which he his making a lot of money on this team. he really stepped it up the latter part of the year and he should be at third for a while. i hope.

Peralta will end up being the 3rd baseman of the Indians within a couple years.. Shapiro even said so, that is the ultimate plan for him..

It's not like it will be next year or anything.

no he wont.

why would you??? its a hella of a lot easier to get the production peralta gets out of another third baseman through the farm or free agency. you dont find many shortstops like peralta, so leave him their.

unless their is a very very very solid player to take over the position i dont see it happening. shapirio is to smart. and no that somebody will not be brandon philips.

Alright, Wait right here, I'm going to email Shapiro and tell him "CAVINCALI" says he will have NONE of it..

I will also call him a liar and request to meet him out by the HomeRun porch so I can go spit in his eye for lying to us.

Peralta will move to 3B within 3 years....

Where is our SS gonna come from then? BJ or Justin Upton I can live with :D

thats right.

hey if we got a shortstop who can produce like jhonny than i am all for it.

Peralta is building himself into the mold of the next Derek Jeter. He's a competent hitter at the 3rd spot: he just needs to learn how to hit the curve ball, or just not swing at most of them. His fielding skills are pretty excellent as well, taking into account how young he is. A few more years to grow and he'll be a premier SS. Why move that to 3rd base when you can have excellent infielding at the most important spot, the SS?

No clue I'm pumped to see Garko Sowers and Gutierrez come up next year they are our 3 big minor league guns :) Man I loved that trade Bartolo Colon for Cliff Lee Grady Sizemore and Brandon Phillips :)
