New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Well, it was a bit part on Thrones that I think became more significant because she did a great job and the fans loved her.

Sure. None of this means she’s going to be great for the role. We’ll see.

That being their reasoning is exactly why I’m skeptical. :chuckle: A small bit part on Thrones, to potentially carrying a flagship show by herself in the future. I’d hope there was a bit more to the choice than that.

Still really looking forward to it though.

She has a pretty good IMDb resume for her age. She had her own kids tv show while being in a mini series, movies, voice in a cartoon/podcast, and had a recurring part in his dark material.

Haven’t seen it.

I found her annoying on Thrones if I’m being honest. Every scene with her was the same.

That said, Jack is right about HBO nailing their casting. It’ll be really interesting if this show goes a few seasons, though. Being vague to avoid spoilers.

I thought her performance on Game of Thrones was good. The role she was asked to play was annoying, though, and indicative of the quality of the writing in late-season Thrones. She was basically, like every character at that point, a caricature.

But I thought she pretty convincingly held her own against actual adults when on screen.

No disagreement here.

The Orville is Star Trek and it's fantastic

I liked the Orville when it was on TV. When it went to Hulu, I didn't find the urgency to keep up with it. The episodes seem to get longer and I just fell behind with them. I'm not sure it's as funny anymore either.

They're way longer. You're right. It's also not comedy first. It's definitely Trek first.

Is anyone else really struggling with Andor?
I slogged through episode one, not sure if it’s worth my time…

Seen the first 3 and they really build. Very strong star wars feel and decent story

It keeps building. I think there was a reason they released the first 3 at once. It doesn't really get going until episode 3. I don't think any other series has had 3 episodes released on Disney plus at one time from Marvel or Star Wars. It's usually been 1 or 2 or the full series.

The first 3 episode felt like the intro and 4 really fells like the actual start of his journey. It's 12 episodes in total.

Evan Peters role in Netflix's Jeffrey Dahmer is phenomenal.

Started Dahmer last night. I wasn't sure if I wanted to watch this one but I am a big fan of Ryan Murphy. Quite good. Quite unsettling and uncomfortable. Evan Peters is excellent.

I just watched the latest episode of Atlanta. The randomness of the show is pretty amazing. The switch between stories about the main characters to weird stories with a character involved to just completely random stories with none of the shows characters in it, but somehow it all falls in together under the theme of the show makes the show so unique.

I'm not sure it's a show I'd would ever recommend binging because I feel you need some time to let every episode settle in before diving to the next.

White Lotus season 2 is out; not sure what to expect.

Italy setting might be nice, but not sure I like having Stifler's Mom be the carryover character.

I've barely watched Euphoria, but I didn't realize that Syd Sweeney's brother character also starred with her there. Their dynamic was hilarious in season 1. "Quinn, are you fapping?"
