NEW UNIFORMS for 2006!?

No, this is not a CSTYLE type of post.

On the "6 days to Sunday"(NFL Network) episode featuring Randy Lerner, he is shown holding a prototype jersey w/the number '06 that has the white and orange sleeve stripes fused together and a helmet with a gray face mask.

This is the best preview I can give you:

They might look something like that.

It's the old school (Otto Graham, Groza, etc) white-orange-white-orange-white stripes with the orange stripes slightly more narrow than the white.

The narration in the show was "Lerner makes sure the Browns stay connected to their roots by ordering uniforms in a style similar to a style worn in the old days". (The Brown Jersey has an "06" on it.) Lerner was looking at them in the equipment room.

Lerner says "We have a particular heritage that just filled with symbols, symbols represented by our uniform..."

They didn't have "TV Numbers" anywhere on the jersey.(That's the technical term for the 4-inch numbers found on the sleeves or shoulder yoke of the jersey.) The only numbers were an "06" on the front. (They didn't show the back.)

The jerseys also DID NOT have the "BROWNS" wordmark logo on the front of the jersey like the current ones have.

Hopefully, there are Black shoes that go with this uniform.

I am totally psyched. I am so excited, I am ready to run through a wall for some reason. And I wasn't even alive during the days of Jim Brown. lol

Is it me, or do the numbers in the front of these new jerseys look bigger than the current jersey numbers?

Man, we are seriously going back in time here. The only thing that is missing is the black shoes and the Orange pants ONLY with the BROWN top.

Well, look at the pics, and then look at my sig. Ya, they kind of are, but not that much at the same time, because overtime even though the Browns have made some changes to the unis, they still kept them almost the same.

:chuckles: Hey CDT, I think there is a team in Ohio with "new millenium" jerseys. They are really cool. I think they are the BenGALS! They are a prime example of how shitty the new jerseys come to be when they derive from history.



I wish these were the standard jerseys, because there would not be that much difference between the two to be "alternate". I dunno. But I just wish they used the orange pants with the Browns jerseys.

Ya, I saw those that night for the first time in my life in ACTION, and I fell in love. I dunno. I just loved the look, and how well they match.

Plus, since it was at night, those pants were very slick and shiny.

Now, if these new jerseys and the orange pants would be worn at the same time, then I would do a backflip.

BTW, here is a good look at what the final NEW jerseys might look like. It is also a great picture too. Look at that Stooler eat dirt.

well here is a concept i drew, not much of a diference, however, if they do "go back in time" and wear thease classic jerseys, the pants stripes would be reversed. and that IMO looks sloppy with the orange on the outside. the darker color needs to be on the outside. but neways i like the idea of a change up, but we just changed the uni's back in 2003 for the better...
