Yeah, idk. Smith balled out this year. We'll see how the Chiefs fare in the playoffs this year. But either way, the AFC is awful...the only great teams are the Pats and Steelers...Brady is 40 and Big Ben might retire soon. This could be anyone's conference when those two things happen. If I was the Chiefs, I'd just ride it out another year with Smith and see what happens. It's just another year. If Big Ben retires and Brady falls off/gets hurt? You can go to the Super Bowl with Alex Smith...and once you're there anything can happen...

I'd probably ride it out another year with Smith too, because he was great this year. However, when you take a QB in the first, you generally want to hand him the team sooner rather than later.

I am in the Tulsa, OK which...is divided up between Chiefs and Cowboys...having stepped off the plane? I curiously listened to what the Chiefs Radio Network would sound like pregame..

....Welp....they sounded "bored" by all of this.

It's not that they were "bad" at their jobs. It's just that I imagine that team is actually well run, this is the "norm", and there's not much drama to report on. I also imagine that sans the Raiders? There's not a lot of douche bags on opposing teams starting shit week after week. (i think Chad "OchoCinco" Johnson is about the only one I could argue would be the "norm" in the NFL. Actually LOVE that guy.)

Credit to the Browns Radio Network. Dieken, Donovan, and Zegura rarely sound bored. Fox, Phelps, Rizzo, and Carman also seem candid with their opinions.

You know, the Chiefs blowing a 21-3 halftime lead after a quarterback for the opponent sparked a rally with a touchdown pass to himself is a VERY Chiefs thing to have happen.

That third and nine play is why so many Chiefs fans are ready to move on. Pocket was fine, and he just bailed out of the play after a second. He does that so often. It's maddening.

Meanwhile, Mahomes was doing an incredible job last week extending plays with his legs to make throws.

If the Browns want Smith, they can have him.

This unfolded perfectly. Chiefs blow a playoff game for like the 5th year in a row. Alex Smith will be scapegoated (again) even though it wasn't his fault (again). Will take him for a 2nd rounder, thanks.
