Yeah, idk. Smith balled out this year. We'll see how the Chiefs fare in the playoffs this year. But either way, the AFC is awful...the only great teams are the Pats and Steelers...Brady is 40 and Big Ben might retire soon. This could be anyone's conference when those two things happen. If I was the Chiefs, I'd just ride it out another year with Smith and see what happens. It's just another year. If Big Ben retires and Brady falls off/gets hurt? You can go to the Super Bowl with Alex Smith...and once you're there anything can happen...
I'd probably ride it out another year with Smith too, because he was great this year. However, when you take a QB in the first, you generally want to hand him the team sooner rather than later.
