(No Longer) Joe Woods’ Defense

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
We have a fucking scary defense. The front four is demolishing lines.

Truly awesome to see Delpit come back from such a historically devastating injury to look like this.
Agreed. I didn't notice Greedy too much, but that INT was just a smart read. Happy for him, too.

Been his biggest critic but that was about as flawless of a game on the defensive side of the ball ive ever seen as a Browns fan. Our D-line was absolutely dominant and our secondary was as cohesive as can be.

Minny has one of the best offenses in the NFL and we just took them to the woodshed.

Woods earned the game ball today.

Though he made a play when needed against JJ, Ward has arguably been our weakest DB the past two weeks. Weird.

Yeah Ward's contract value is also hard to judge this year . When he's good, he's a top CB in the league. But he's been pretty mediocre so far this year, especially by his standards.

Woods has come up with two stellar game plans in a row. Against a true rookie (first start) and against a savvy vet. Well done

Yeah, great job by Woods. Even the Vikings TD drive I thought he did well. Felt like every ball went the Vikings way on that drive.

I think that's a bit unfair this week. We put Ward on an island against JJ for large parts of this game and after the first drive, he absolutely held him in check and even the catches were great throws without much separation. He didn't dominate the matchup, but going head to head against one of the best in the league and allowing our defense to be more aggressive up front is a win for us.

The difference in the depth between the CB/safety groups this year and last year is huge. Last season down a CB and safety the wheel began to completely fall off. This season we've got the depth to thrive even when we're missing starters out there. Speaks to the great approach the front office took this offseason in building the team.
