TheOBR has learned the Browns will discuss the manner which Childress and Shurmur communicate and the issue with Shurmur getting plays called.
There has been no discussion about Childress taking over the play-calling.
Though, this aspect may come to light during the bye-week when discussions between the staff, owner, CEO are expected to take place.
Jimmy Haslam and Joe Banner a working on the organizational structure and former Browns QB Bernie Kosar appears poised to gain a legitimate position within the organization.
And no, he isn't going to be the GM or head coach.
An extremely well placed source tells theOBR Mike Lombardi WILL NOT get a look if the Browns decide to fire GM Tom Heckert.
Jimmy Haslam has not asked Holmgren if he'd like to take over the reigns as head coach of the team.
TheOBR has been told by three league sources that the Browns will fire head coach Pat Shurmur.
As for general manager Tim Heckert, the information coming out is Joe Banner may have something on the ready to bring someone in from the Philadelphia Eagles personnel Dept. To possibly assume the GM spit in Cleveland.
TheOBR has learned Jon Gruden is not looking to return to the NFL coaching ranks at this time.
The Browns have not talked with the former Brown and former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach.
Word circulating around the league is Cowher is well aware the Browns have a desire to make changes following the 2012 season.
Cowher will not comment on the Browns.
The Kansas City Chiefs also are believed to have interest in Cowher.
Pat Shurmur and Tom Heckert have not had meaningful discussions regarding their future with the organization since the take-over by Jimmy Haslam and Jie Banner
TheOBR has been told Shurmur's status is safe through the end of the season barring any significant issue.
As a side-note, not being able to get plays called into the QB, poor game-day management, questionable play-calling and disregard of information coming from players is not deemed significant at this time.
Jimmy Haslam has not had any lengthy discussions with the HC following the Browns fiasco against the Baltimore Ravens.
Haslam was visibly upset during and following the Browns loss and is expected to talk to Shurmur later in the week.
